Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

if anyone is near Brands Hatch, I, and a few other FiestaST owners will be on track from 1730 through to 2000 tomorrow if you fancy watching. Including Marks 300bhp beast.

Fitted some new brake pads earlier. A lot easier than i thought it would be.

Found out i can get a white splitter made for £92.50 including delivery. So i have given the go ahead for the end of the month. Not to sure if this will suit, but i will never find out unless i try it.

Last stint at Brands Hatch today:

Two MP 185s racing around in the dying moments of our track evening. Excuse the poor driving as the rain made the track a little greasy lol :D Oh i do love track days :D

Looks great fun, out of interest how much did it cost you?

Love the popping and burbling the MT185 makes, want badly :(

What are peoples thoughts on the Fly Eye kits? Tempted to do my front lights, side repeaters and rear lights but not sure if it would be 'chav' or not.

that was £119 for 2.5hours (about 2hours once u take time for the sighting laps). It was supposed to be a ford only day but had a few BMW's and a Renault on there. Odd.

Snetterton is slightly cheaper (normally) than Brands Hatch, and is probably closer to you?

Fly eye kits im 50/50 on. They kinda look cool but... i think it depends on the colour of the car.

My car is apparently fixed now, apparently the clutch master cylinder failed...cost £212 or so all in, am relieved it wasn't the slave cylinder or clutch as that's a big job in comparison. Clutch master cylinder is just above the pedal.

Guy at the garage said it will probably be better to drive now, lighter clutch as the master cylinder was probably on its way out for a while anyway, and the paddle clutch always been on the heavy side...bit more assistance can't hurt.

Hi guys,

Bad news, someones nicked my centre caps with black gel overlays.

But...i have an interesting twist to this story. When i went to park i parked next to another Fiesta ST with a FiestaSTOC sticker in the window. This Fiesta ST didn't have any centre caps. I hung around for a bit as i was in no hurry and got chatting to a mate on the phone. I remarked to him that it'd be quite amusing if the guy who i'd parked next to nicked my centre caps.

I went home for literally an hour and came back to move my car to a better spot and low and behold. My centre caps are no more and the 58 plate Fiesta ST (that had a load of options added, tech pack etc...also better than mine) i parked next to was gone too.

So, now. What do i do OcUK, would do you guys suggest?

I don't want to go all guns blazing with this onto FiestaSTOC but it being a 58 plate it must still be one or 2 owner. It's reg starts with EJ 58 and is performance blue and stock. Not a local car either with EJ prefix before 58. These centre caps had black ford logo DMB gel overlays and if pulled off will take the standard lacquer off with them.

All in all though. It's pretty upsetting that someone who owns the same car and is passionate about the car would take something from yours.

Just get onto FiestaSTOC and make a thread up, im sure someone will be able to point out the culprit for you.

Means nothing. Neither of my cars have Devon plates. A lot of ex Ford cars are EJ/EK plated for example.

Yeah, you're right. But what's an "ex ford car"?

But they usually give an indication of where the car is from. I can always tell a locals car with the WK/WL prefix before the year. Like WG is for Devon.

I guess i'm grabbing at straws for justice is all. :(

I've got a WL plated car and live in Wolverhampton, I don't think the plate can tell you much really! WL is also my initials, happy convenience :D

An Essex plate especially means little on a Ford, lots of people work for Ford that way (gven the Dunton R&D facility for Ford Europe) or will have done in the past, the loyalty to the Blue oval is strong that way...you'd probably find proportionally more Fords registered to Essex plate than anywhere else, given staff and employee discounts - guess thats what Fox means.

never leave center caps on when parked in public, thats all i can give you for tips :( plates move around the country all the time. EJ, ET and EK as fox says can be ex ford cars, ie demonstrators.

4stint out of 6, Me in my 185 vs Steve in his 185 and Trevor in the Mr200 prototype. Yay i beat him :D

no more youtube spam from me until the next time im out on track :D

Put a thread up on STOC, along with the begining of the number plate! You may not get anywhere with it but on the other hand, you may be lucky in finding the person who did it.

God knows why Ford didn't find a way of securely attaching them properly. Kind of glad I don't have the standard wheels anymore as I don't have to put up with this problem now :(

Yeah. My centre caps were rather beaten up and battered being on a 55 plate and clearly being it's original set. Just can't believe someone with a better ST who can clearly afford more than me did that to be honest.

I'm tempted to get some different alloys as i personally don't like the look without the caps.

It was on my list of things to do this week though, doing something to those caps to avoid being nicked. Have parked in that car park all summer no problem though. I'm going to shoot off an email to council though as this car park used to be run by an attendant but now they have machines.

OT I saw you last night in Chesterfield.. at 7/8pm:p

Seem to be getting spotted from ocuk members lately lol. Had a 12 hour shift yesterday and guess you seen me travelling somewhere from Killamarsh back to Chesterfield. Got stuck behind a train of cars behind a tractor most of the way....
