Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Just bagged another 4 mint condition ST alloys for £117

I now have 10 ST alloys lol, 6 mint and 4 what are curbed what are being used for the winter (on the car now)

Piper system has now been fitted and sounds awesome. Will be ordering flexi and piper manifold next.

where you manage to find a set of wheels for £117? me wanty :D

Ah thought they looked similar. Yeah the Pro race 1.2 are very nice wheels, inexpensive and light too.

Really surprised at how little they weigh! Really changes the way the car feels when accelerating and with the steering.

Plus smaller wheels means cheaper tyres ;)

Only down side was having to get rid of the brakes but with the kind of driving I do I never really made full use of them anyway :(

Running standard power now apart from a piper flexi pipe, quite happy with the performance and MPG I'm getting around town! Need to get some rear spacers back on, tidy up the front lower grill and give it a good clean.

I miss my "good" mpg's

My car has been in the wars lately.

I took it to a tuners to get my LSD fitted. It came back with 4th gear stiff, a broken CV gaiter and heat shield that rattled like mad. A few days later a braided brake hose magically un-did itself

With the First FiestaSTOC trackday in like 3 years looming, i had to get the box sorted out. It went back to the tuners, to get the box fixed (FOC) but i also got a sports clutch fitted. Got the car back at 5pm wednesday, and took the car out on the trackday the very next morning.

A fantastic time, 4th track day of the year, and the 8th in total i've done, apart from a off at Graham Hill bend, it all went smoothly :o.

Roll forward 2 weeks, and i noticed a oil patch outside where i park, and sure enough the gearbox has started leaking around the drive shaft seal... :o So its BACK again at the tuners... Hopefully repaired FOC again.. :D

I get the impression the gearbox is a real pain to remove and remit from the amount of damage or problems people get afterwards! My car has been good lately, of say my run of bad luck with things getting damaged was over, alas I took my car to Bilston with work today and some fool has dented my door with theirs...

Will get some MR200 vids soon, my car is going to powerstation next Friday to go on the rollers (with AFR trace, want to check the fuelling is okay) and also get my oil cooler parts fitted.

I just orderd some oil filters (already have oil), some new coolant some BG44k fuel cleaner, an Oil temp gauge (already have a pressure gauge) and a sandwich plate to fit the senders for both gauges...

Next thurs should be a busy day :D

MR200 is on my list for certain, as is the PAS pully (that slows its RPM down).

Yes, the gearbox was a real pain, it took them a few days to fit the diff due to things being stuck on, this broke the box, hence 4th not working. The Box then came off again to fix the 4th gear issue. The box coming off TWICE in a month is not ideal, hence the oil seal failed. Now, i want to make sure that box never comes off again, and if it does, it will need new internals!

Any pics if the gauge installation? I want to fit the same gauges to my car at some point....useful for safety on track and knowing when you can safely give it some beans!

Will be fitting them some time next week. Looks relatively easy to do, but I want to make sure they don't look too much out of place. Rather than wire it to the ignition I'm going to just have a on/off switch for them I think. Saves on cutting into the cars loom.

Yesterday i was involved in a crash and no airbags were deployed even though the damage has pushed front end back enough for me to not be able to open the doors. engines moved, frome at the front's all bent ect....
I noticed there's a small switch/button behind the front bumper, with a small piece of metal near the button. Is this the button/switch for the airbags??? the small piece of metal bent away from the button in the crash if that is what it's for.

should have deployed soon as the front end started to crumple, should be more than 1 sensor for this.

I know you can disable the passenger airbag but I don't think you can the drivers. Very strange that it didn't go off. Hope your ok?

Any pics?

no pics yet, yeah everyone is fine just me in my car and 2 elderly americans in the other car, have a tiny bit of shoulder pain this morning but i think that's from pushing the steering wheel to hold myself back. there's was a big VW estate car and has a tiny bit of plastic damage, front of my fiesta pretty much crumpled. their airbag deployed yet mine didn't, i may give ford a call to ask about it to see if they know anything/

edit: It was normal traffic lights with an up arrow of the left of it, up arrow was green so we were moving but the lights' in the middle of the road turned red (saying you can't go right) still can go straight at this point. but the other car jumped on their brakes.

Claim will be against you then, bad times :(

At least you are ok though, besides the shoulder. Yeah I would definitely get onto ford to see why your airbag didn't deploy, though is useless now.

airbag sensors (G meters) are under the seat. The front bumper flex's so much, it would be mad to put a airbag switch there, because it would pop open if you rolled into a wall... Sorry to hear about the crash though :(

Reading online it seems like if you crash at 12mph without a belt on, or 18mph with a belt on then the airbags are beployed. so the crash was slow but i can't believe the amount of damage that looks to have been caused by it.
Still want to know what the thing in the front of the car is though,, can't seem to find it anywere online.
