Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Get on fordfiestast forum, loads better than STOC, everyone talks crap on STOC.

yeh gone boring now.....

Only topics right now are:
99 vs 95?
what tyres?
what do eibachs look like on a blue car? (same as all other cars tbh??!?)

nothing interesting atm, will pick up again when it starts getting warmer.

Woot. Picked up some rears for a tenner each with £20 delivery.

Now going to try and source a loom or work out how to make my own! Winning!

Now need lowering.

Where from? I just this minute ordered some white primers and gloss paints for the centre caps and fog light rings.

Was just on the bay. Some guy was selling them cheap. Messaged him and asked about condition and holders and he said everything was fine so it was a go ahead for me. I'm covered by eBay and Paypal so hopefully it was just a good deal.

Had been checking the bay for weeks for a good deal and this one just came up. Shame 5 door lights go for nothing in comparison to 3 door.

I might have to invest in both facelift lights, I wasn't keen on the fronts as they look to bubbly when I have seen them but they have made a massive difference on your car.

Will have to keep a look out. We mount of money I have chucked into the car, I may as well of got it Mountuned instead lol.

Looking at the picture that Overlag posted with all those STs in it seems to me that its quite dependant on what colour the car is to how much of an impact the facelift lights have on the car.

To me the pre-facelift don't look bad on a red ST for example.

I'm finding it hard to justify throwing money at a Mountune kit with my car being a 55 plate. It's only got 23k on the clock but it's nearly worth the same amount as a mountune.

is the car totally standard? 23k is very low mileage so should gain some value vs something like mine with 59k and 10+ trackdays on the clock.

Id recommend 165 for sure, loads of low down torque for around town, id only recommend 185 if you go on regular trackdays.

Yeah, 23k totally standard. Bought it with 16k on the clock at the start of the year.

If I could pick up a milltek system second hand for around £450 I'd probably go for it.

Really Quite torn between one of these and the 1.6T Corsa D SRi.

The insurance at my age is a killer, kinda limits the options :L

I'm averaging 33-34MPG. :)

I've started putting in super unleaded and getting much better/steadier consumption also.

It's actually pretty good on fuel for NA 2 litre. People say adding a K&N 57i and a larger flexi also increase MPG.

I don't feel quite so bad about my 23-24mpg in my 3litre 6 cylinder NA now... your mpg is terrible for such a tiny car

its not terrible, like all small cars its got very short gearing hence will be running at 4000rpm while "cruising" i bet yours is like 2500? It isnt the most economical 2litre engine either.

However, 29mpg on a near standard Fiesta ST is terrible, i get that with high lift cams and i generally hit 7500rpm a few times a day so... how can a standard fiesta get that? Standard i used to get 35-43mpg!

Guess im not as steady as i think i am.... Suppose i do get bored easily, especially on the motorway :)

steady is boring though, i got to 33mpg the other day after driving around like a snail for a week. Now at 29mpg after keeping the revs between 5000-7000 for a "drive" :D

lolwut?

34mpg is quite a bit better than 23mpg...that's a massive difference in miles on a tank.

Also, out of interest, how many miles do people do once the amber fuel light comes on?
