Who here owns a Fiesta ST?

Heard they are now doing an Extra Low version now. Not sure i'd like to put that much pressure onto the stock shocks. Any reviews of the extra lows compared to the normals?

Ive been in a car with them, and they are not much different, however she didnt drive too hard so im not sure how much better they are on the edge. All lowering will put more stress on the shocks, so 35mm will be more stressful than 25mm of coarse... But how much is anyone's guess. Plus all shocks are different, yours might last fine on those for the life of the car, some however fail with standard springs so who knows! lol

Excited about the prospect of lowering again now. This time i have the kit to fit them so i'll be doing it myself.

Stop talking about all these mods guys, I've only just bought the car and your talk is already tempting me into thinking about things! :D

Enjoy it as it is first. Drive it until you are used to it. I have gone 18 months in mine without Spending a penny on it bar consumables (petrol, tyres, brake pads etc) get used to the car and it's handling first then go all out!

Yeah I don't plan (or have the money) to be sticking anything else on it yet, just reading the posts is teasing me as I love to fiddle around with stuff like that.

Maybe after this year once I'm doing less than 5k miles (instead of the 13k+ I'll be doing this year) I can look into a few tweeks if I feel like it.

Recommend you get some decent tyres on it though! Still half asleep here and forgot what mine are called but they are amazing on dry roads, specially when it is hot. But very deadly when it is wet, its like im driving on ice sliding about every where trying to stop car from leaving the road.

Its all fun though :)

I have a prefacelift model. I do prefer some bits over the facelift model.
I have my car on APs and I can say they are awesome. Plus the car looks better sat lower.

cheers but I dont mind the vents. I like the rear lights from a facelift and the clocks but I can live with it.

Also can anyone get higher than 32mpg or is it just me. Did a long run the other day and managed 35mpg. Dont know why its so low. I think I need to buy a flexipipe and catback system to get better mpg.

lol, i'd be happy getting 32mpg in mine/ on my daily trip to and from work i'm getting about 29 and on my weekend drive i see about 22mpg. i'm quite heavy footed and love induction roar.

Here's my average at the moment. Mostly b road driving.

It's called "Road Trip". No idea if it's available on other platforms.

I usually get 100+ miles on £20, you must have been hooning it! :p

yeh, a lot of people think im lying when i get 400miles out of a tank on my car, but it IS possible. However its much more fun after a long tedious "cruise" to have a quick rag on a country lane, then that 400miles goes out the window. ;)

I think the most i have got on a tank was just over 300, that was when the light just turned on too.

I've heard having a different air filter makes the car more economical? Is there any truth in this?

Yeah I'm sure I read (maybe on here) that some mods aid MPG?

Anyone confirm findings on this? And which mods in particular?

If/when I get one the first mods power wise would be flexi, catback and filter... would this actually aid mpg when tootling about?
