Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Honestly thought you'd never follow it through gustov but you have, so good luck to you!

Private reg looks a tad poo but it looks clean, enjoy it.

Ahh, mines not decatted, might be why!

Are they not standard? Mine 'whine' a little from the wind resistance at certain speeds but if you've got radio/music on you won't notice.

I't will be! :D

Nope standard are Bosch old school blades. They wine? Mine do at 120+ (Not on public roads) Do they do it durning normal driving at legal speeds? I may stick to the old style if thats the case :)

Keeps throwing its aux belt, and the garage it was in couldn't fix it. Also needed a RH front driveshaft. Hopefully the garage its now at can fix the aux belt issue. Been around 2 weeks so far.

To cut a long story short. Limped it to a Renault garage after the aux belt fell off on the way to work (boiling the engine in the process). Took them 2 days to refit the original belt (which was still in the engine bay) and send me on my way saying they couldn't find anything wrong. Belt fell off again on the way home (unsurprisingly), and engine boiled again limping home. Limped to local garage who said they would look at it. Discovered one of the bolts from the alternator was missing, so new bolt and aux belt ordered. Garage then phoned a few days later to say they couldn't get the belt to fit when the missing alternator bolt was screwed in, hence getting a third garage to pick it up on Friday to try and fix. It also needed a RH driveshaft which at least the local garage managed to source and fit. They spent a good few hours trying to sort the problem and didn't charge for any of the work with regards to the belt. Here's hoping the third garage can fix the aux belt issue, this garage is used by some of the Scottish Cliosport members so they should know what they are doing. Been without the car for almost 2 weeks :(

Once its fixed i'll probably get shot of it in a month or two, i've had enough of paying so much to keep it on the road. If asked i'd no longer recommend anyone buys a 172/182, far too much expense for a small French hatchback.

Ya she is a minter, very clean inside and out. Drive way is very slopped (doesn't look like it in the photo), hand brake is probably lifting the front of the car up, it has the cup suspension. Decat is on the way, and hopefully ordering a full yozza system next week. Grinning like a kid, looking forward to the drive to work tomorrow :p

Very nice :D!!! It will sound amazing over 5krpm! Have you given it a good drive today and what car did you have before?

Shame most on here seem to be from the South, would love to have a mini Clio meet :(

I bought the decat to use with the stock exhaust, but have come into a bit more money so will order the yozza soon. Doubt i will use the decat with the yozza, because the two together are extremely loud. Used £40 of petrol today :D

Had a C2 VTS before, which did the job i got it for, nice upgrade now though :)

Some more piccies..

Looks very tidy :) Whats it like compared to the C2? £40 in fuel ahah remember when I picked mine up. I was out in it everynight it cost me a fortune in fuel! Some awesome North Yorkshire roads near me. Think I never had a bigger grin on my face that weekend. Amazing fun.

Ohhh I have a facination with tyres. They really transform this car with decent rubber, whats yours running and are they matched??

The C2 was great fun for the money, low insurance, low tax, good MPG, but was still plenty of fun on the twistys. The clio is in a different league though, much more power and far better handling. If you pushed the C2 to hard it would understeer into a tree, but like i found out today, the 182 nudges the back end out to warn you :D

Its running matched pairs, but different back and front. PS3's on the rear and F1's on the front.

Good way to test it and feel the limits of the car, it take it to a quite roundabout out of the way and really push it. Then try without the TC on! Had the back out a few times but never felt it under controll :) Wait till summer when the roads are dry and nice and sticky. It will stick to the road like glue, it is amazing in the corners, makes my friends VXR look silly.

Or maybe your not a hooligan like me and want to take it steady :D No harm in finding the cars limits when nobody is around.
