Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Pretty much as Dazz mentioned above, although I now having locking wheel nuts, and oddly enough I do have some etchings on my windows, although I'm not sure if they're the ones that non-import ones have.

Maccy, my luck has been bad, but I think some of it has been down to my own naivity. I'm a little more educated now so will be more careful in the future :)

My dad had a bright yellow motor! 80/90s for you! Said to me never ever buy one again! You get spotted by the old bill a mile off! I would love to own an LY yellow but that has been drilled into my mind for years! :D

How exactly are you planning on hunting imprezas? You'd have to catch them first.

I had a 172, I now have an Impreza WRX. Not much in it at mid range legal speeds, Impreza has the advantage off the line and it pulls harder for longer (ooh err) higher up, but in the middle there's not much in it really.

That's also taken from experience playing with my step dad when he's had Imprezas before me, when he's been in my car and me in his :)

Throw an STi or mapped WRX in there and then you're talking more chasing by the Clio :p

Arrggh, I'm so indecisive. I'm tempted to pull out of the H&R deal now, and spend the money on getting my KTR coilovers setup properly (which I should have done by now anyway), a Whiteline ARB, and then just keep the rest back for when tyres need replacing.

I think H&R are overkill for me, but they will only cost me £450 which is such a bargain! I've got an offer of £280 for my KTR coilovers (will cost me about £20-25 to post), so I'll be down by about £100-120 on those.

In the time it's taken me to write that, I now think I should go for the H&Rs :s

You know what the right thing to do is!! Make sure you get them k-tecs taken off on Saturday!

Even though there overkill it's only costing you £120 max which is an absolute bargain. I reckon they'll keep a lot of their value as well.

Yeah good point, resale value is important!

I'll go for them, and get a Whiteline ARB when I next get some spare cash :)

Tis my experiance too!! :) People understate the power of the 1*2s, for what they are, they are quick considering there only a 2.0 NA!

Just come home from collecting a FF 182! Absolutely awesome to drive, really liking it so far... Will post some pictures when Ive had a chance to give it a clean :).

Its a 2004 54 plate with 58k on the clock... All belts done not too long ago, brakes all done not long back too. Paid £4k! Looking forward to giving it a bit of a detailing this weekend :)

What car have you come from and how does it compare??

£4K is a cracking price well done! :)

Sounds like a good price, colour??

Ta! Black gold I think its called... Black with a gold undercoat!

Thanks dude! Ive come from a dc2 integra... Feels significantly more solid than the teg, very comfy too. Power wise it is on par I would say. There is a power lift about 5k rpm too which is nice. Not as raw, but newer and equally as fun. Also my insurance premium doesnt rise with the swao either :).

Black Gold is a great colour.

The kick at 5k is great fun. I fitted a foam filter and it did nothing to the power, it just dulled the 5k kick. Stock paper filter is going back in as we speak.

Get some pics up, and get on Cliosport!

Leave it as it is. Save the money. :)

I'm not spending/replacing anything else until it breaks now. I used to spend bucket loads of money on electronics ... now its my car but you're taking it to a whole new level. ;) Go do something fun instead.

I've been convinced to buy them. It's £1k suspension for £450, so I may as well! :)

A French motor classed as solid?? Whatever next.... Haha just joking, mine is cracking inside no rattles no nothing :) DC2 Ahhh they are meant to have a big cult following are they not? Nice to see the little French box is on the same playing field ;) The 182s are cracking mate, you will enjoy the car so much so have fun out there :) BG Best colour too, not been bias honest :D

They aren't bad when in the right range, whilst not slow they do run out of puff before quite a few other cars, but you're talking about illegal speeds then....

I'd love another go in my old one to compare it to the WRX properly.

Think if I went back to a Clio I'd try a 197 next though, really enjoyed my drive in one.

How are you finding the lack of LSD? Did you find the DC2 tiresome in terms of noise and comfort?

Mine seems spot on so far regarding rattles too, which is a nice change from the teg  ... Yea the DC2 does have quite a following behind it, which is completely understandable as its a cracking car. Handles insanely well with the LSD. When it dries up a bit I'm sure I'll enjoy it more :p

Haven't had a chance to properly try things out in terms of handling yet, but when it dries up I will see how it compares! Could really feel the LSD in the teg pulling the car round the corner, so it'll be interesting to see the difference... DC2 was very rattley and harsh if you were to use it everyday (thankfully i didn't need to drive it day in day out). The 182 is spot on for everyday use, quick, comfy and but doesn't feel too numb either. Awesome car :)
