Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Cos one of the D bushes is the wrong size :(

Which is a total bugger, as nobody has any in stock anywhere, so nobody has a replacement bush. I have also searched everywhere but it appears to be a custom bush to that ARB (or more likely just a stock of them only Whiteline use in a lot of their ARBs). I've emailed Whiteline in Australia, and a mate has taken it with him to stick on a lathe and try and bore out (its a 16mm bush when the bar is 18mm).

Proper annoyed.

My whiteline ARB for my Fiesta came with a part missing....its not unusual sadly for them to come with the wrong fittings and/or bits missing...QC could do with some work. I'd recommend getting it blasted and properly powdercoated before you fit it as well, if you don't want it to rust like a bad one :(

The whole Whiteline process looks to be a but shoddy TBH. Shipping is hit and miss, delivery times are all over the place, quantities are guess work, and now it appears they mess up the parts. :(.

Damn shame as IIRC they are the only ones that make one for them?

Yep. And they are meant to be dam good. There is a guy on ClioSport making his own, but they have some questions about the quality, and are more expensive.

I'm aware they rust to buggery, but seen as its just a bar of metal under the car I'm not bothered.

Is he just cloning one of the Whiteline ones? I will be keeping an eye open for a second hand one when they start making more stock.

But I ain't paying some crazy price for one made by some guy in his own garage.

There's a group buy on CS atm for the whiteline ones, £50 deposit paid on Thursday, they're ordered by Demon Tweeks on Friday and pay the rest when / if they turn up.

I'm going for it as they are supposed to make such a difference, even if the whole buying process seems a pain

It looks more complex than the Whiteline one. ScarySquirrel has one. It does the job, but its £200+. Then again, the Whiteline ones don't exist anywhere.

TBH, the price in that group buy is excellent. However, it will mean giving some guy at DT £50 and then just waiting for one to turn up. They take 12 weeks to ship here alone, so you are looking at 12 weeks plus however long it takes for Whiteline to stick a container load on a boat, plus however long it takes Whiteline UK to distribute them to suppliers. In reality, your looking at 18 weeks plus.

Personally, I would get hold of all the UK stockists and find out who has stock left out of the order they currently have comming in from Whiteline. A mate spoke to a few, he found one who had 20 on order and 18 customer orders. That way you will get one when the batch currently on a container arrive (most suppliers saying end of May).

I'm not too bothered about the wait, I'm expecting 16 weeks ish

I was a bit weary when the thread first popped up as there's nothing to stop this bloke running off with our £50, claiming supply issues

Yeah, when it was a plan to pay a CS member it looked well dodgy. Now you are paying DT direct its safer. TBH if you haven't already got one on order, you wont get one untill the same time as these DT guys, so getting one for £30 cheaper is a steal!

Good heads up on the throttlebody, just got mine off and it was covered in black ****e. Decided to really polish mine, and the difference in throttle response is actually quite impressive for a 15minute job.

I did my TB when it was off for the cambelt / dephaser change etc. Can't remember it making a massive difference tbh. I have a cable throttle though as mine is a phase 1

I just really hope they're as good as people make out :)

Haha, I only saw your thread when a few people had already been suspended.

Pretty sure only one of my local CS members has a RARB and he's down south at the moment so can't go for a passenger ride

The custom one's made by the guy on ClioSport are great. There were issues with the original L brackets he made, but he made stronger ones and shipped them out to everyone for free. The guy works for Track Developments, and they seem to know their stuff, so no questions on quality as far as I'm concerned.

It cost £208 delivered.

Any pictures of them on the car? If its like the Fiesta in terms of how it fits, its actually quite obvious from the rear of the car once you get close...
