Who here owns a Renaultsport?

What'cha go for?

Just some cheap anthracite F1's. There technically 'track wheels', but seen as my car doesn't get driven at all really, I'll prob sell my standard wheels on and just leave the 15s on all the time. Offset of 35 is also like putting 15mm spacers on, which will really help with the fact the standard wheels look buried way to deep inside the arches!

I thought I'd add a couple of pictures of my Clio 200 while I was at the driving range today after cleaning it this morning. It's not often clean so it's as good a reason to post them as any. Lucky the pictures were better than the golf :D

I really like the Clio 200, but it really needs 'that' spoiler (is it a Cup spoiler?)

Yes it finishes it off and I was nearly tempted to tick the options box, but I didn't like it enough to justify the £400 it costs.

I need to get my scrape sorted and I have quotes for a cup spoiler, it's just a case of picking one up cheap enough now.

Well, 1.5 hours, 3 skinned knuckeles, one scraped arm, and WD40 in my eye later, my Clio.... still has rear seats in!:mad::mad:

Who the hell though putting a star nut to hold the rear seats in was a good idea?! Especially when the thread is exposed under the car! as predicted, I rounded it off. Looks like I'll be doing Bedford with rear seats in and have to think about what to do with it.

£400! Nice to see Renault have kept up there tradition of stupidly priced splitters! Looks good though, I'm a big fan of the 200.

There are plenty, and for less money.

I have a high mileage, but all motorway, 1 owner 182FF in fantastic condition with FRSH, belts, tensioners and dephaser pulley just done as well as a re-con gearbox, new discs and pads all round, braided lines etc. etc.

Just £3k.

So this was, once again, BS from you?

If there was actual interest the gearbox simply would have been done sooner.

That post outlines what I'm offering and for how much. It does not say "Yeah, It had a new gearbox last week".

No, but you still had the cheek to try and claim I was wrong to suggest it wasn't all fine and dandy.

Once again you have posted rubbish and back tracked to try to justify yourself. No wonder you've not sold it yet.

If while you were advertising your car, you got a puncture - would you advertise this fact, even though it was going to be sorted before anyone viewed it?

Of course not. Now drop that bone of yours - you must be getting tired of carrying it around all this time.

It just makes you wonder what else is wrong if something as fundamental as the gearbox has had it, yet you state its fully working in the advert. This is on a car that has been for sale for 2 months, and had a duff gearbox for at least a month. Its a bit different to getting a puncture and getting it fixed after a day or 2.

If there was anything seriously wrong with it, I wouldn't still be driving it around like I stole it. If there was something wrong with it, it would have been up for sale cheap to get it gone quickly.

You're quite close to me, once the gearbox is done I'll quite happily jump on the boat so you can inspect it and in return you can show me some decent mainland roads. It'll give you the opportunity to voice any issues you have with me in person, too.

Lovely car there! I've got a real thing for the 200s, if only I could have afforded a nice one when I was changing cars!

Me and my brother attacked my 172 today to fit the powerflex ARB bushes I got earlier in the week. 6-7 hours later they were finally replaced after a lot of lying on the ground and swearing but the results were worth it. The car seems a LOT better on rough ground and dare I say it, more comfortable over speed bumps and bumpy roads. Me and my brother noticed the better ride quality pretty much straight away! Now I think I need the tracking doing as the steering has felt a little vague after a little surprise on a wet road 2 weeks ago... May get that looked at at some point this week.

Once that's been checked and sorted I should get to notice the tighter handling characteristics the bushes are supposed to give :)

Mine failed its MOT yesterday :( my fault I pulled the handbrake up and snapped the cable on the left hand side, I've heard that you have to replace these in pairs, is that true?
