Bah, didn't know it was over 21's. It's only the 172 Cup version that is excluded.

Try HIC, A-Plan, Sky as well as anyone in the Admiral Group (Admiral/Bell/Elephant) with a older person (eg Parent) as a named driver.

Has anyone managed to get decent insurance at 19 on one of these. I really like the 172 but insurance is proving a bit of a pain.

How they manage to fit a turbo etc into the engine bay is unreal.

That's what I though but Custom Code shows increase to 190-200 with a stage 1 remap (for the Golf 1.8T, 150 BHP). I'm sure you could get a harsher remap or stage 2 (200-220) and get the 200+.

not really when the same engine is running 225bhp standard in different applications

yea custom code show 190-200 and that is a fairly tame map, I got mine mapped aggressively

with stage 2 you're looking at 240-250, APR have released their stage 2 map for the polo and its working well with the newly released forge FMIC and the Miltek turbo back system (which has to have some modification done as they haven't developed the polo one yet, so an ibiza one has to be used). The turbo back system alone brings a remapped polo from around 200bhp to around 220bhp, it's great fun
