yea custom code show 190-200 and that is a fairly tame map, I got mine mapped aggressively :D

with stage 2 you're looking at 240-250, APR have released their stage 2 map for the polo and its working well with the newly released forge FMIC and the Miltek turbo back system (which has to have some modification done as they haven't developed the polo one yet, so an ibiza one has to be used). The turbo back system alone brings a remapped polo from around 200bhp to around 220bhp, it's great fun :D

Holy cow :) i just looked at revo and they quote 210, shame you don't as much as a jump from the 225 from simply a remap :P

Anyway back to the original thread the wife used to have a 2002 172, was a cracking little car i used it at every chance i had at weekend :)

I've got a 2002 ph2 172 in Flame Red. Had it since February when it had 25k miles on it, it's now got almost 28k and I love it!!

Since the pic it's now got white sidelights to complement the Xenons...

I really like the look of these, fantastic cars.

What are peoples opinions on the new 197?
 
I've got the KTec Stealth cat back exhaust, had it about 3 weeks. I've never had anything other than a standard exhaust on all my cars so it's a bit hard to say if it's loud or not.

At cruising speeds it's nice and subtle, but if you want to give it some beans then you can hear it. They don't sound all that great until they have coked up a bit though as they resonate through the cabin for the first few days.

I love the noise mine makes :)

You've got a few more options if you don't want it hidden - but if you want it hudden under the bumper then there's only a few to choose from.
But try and get a good idea of what they sound like before hand as if they're too free-flowing they can get quite a deep drone around 2-3k as you may have noticed with yours :p
 
The deep drone is pretty much constant from 2k up. So much so that she is refusing to drive it so i bought her a Puma to use until i sort it out.
 
Does she not enjoy setting car alarms off as she drives by then? :D

You might be able to pick up a standard one cheap off ebay to keep you going until you decide what to put on it? I think the exhausts differ between the Phase 1 and 2 though, worth bearing in mind.

There's some videos on Youtube of the K-Tec (and other) exhaust, so you can get an idea of what it sounds like.
