Who here owns a Renaultsport?

Retrimmed wheel is on its way! Yay!

It was supposed to have a silver centre band and the top but after all the hassle and problems and getting to the point where I thought I'd lost my money altogether, I'm not going to complain.

Now I just need to work out how to fit it :o

If you had it done by the same chap as me the turnaround wasn't particularly quick and I too thought I had perhaps been done but turned out okay and worth the wait.

Given up with the decat, there's a clamp holding part of the old system to the Milltek pipe that won't budge. Needs to come off as that's the part that holds the Milltek to the decat. Oh and the lambda sensor still won't unscrew so put the old cat back on. Which is now sagging and probably going to hit speed bumps :(

Wondering if anyone knew the rattles of the Clio well before I take it to the garage...

Basically there is a metallic rattle/buzz from 3k rpm up to the limiter. As soon as I lift off it goes, back on the power it comes straight back. Don't think it does it when the car is stationary.

Any ideas based on my very vague description?

Stick your head under the car when reving the engine, sounds like the cat. Does it have an aftermarket exhaust?

Has anybody replaced the headlight washers on a 172/182? I need to replace one of mine as the ball on the end has fallen out!

Can you do it without removing the bumper? Seems like the splitter got ripped off mine so they decided to rivet the engine undertray to the front bumper so it'll be a right pain to remove!

You need to remove the bumper, sorry :(

Got rid of my 197 last week, traded her in for a Golf as I needed something with a bigger boot and that was more practical due to upcoming lifestyle choices. I had also got sick of the thing rattling, the melting steering wheel and wonky glove box, and it giving me the impression that there was a big bill looming after every pothole. That said I very much enjoyed owning it for 22 months and I will miss it's driveability, twas a hoot on the twisties and was a great smile maker! Hope she goes to a good home, had a lot of mechanical work done this year and it would be a shame if a scrote got it and just ragged the nuts off it because they're becoming cheaper to buy :(

edit: that pic was taken at the start of ownership, despite it being mechanically spot-on at the end of ownership I'd had an altercation with a kerb within one week of owning it, and the bumper was very very marginally off skew after a bint in a 107 reversed into me in a car park (not that the dealer noticed the bumper...)

The replacement jack I ordered arrived today from RSC, a new trader on ClioSport - after mine collapsed last week. I was dubious from the start as whoever I'm messaging on CS isn't overly friendly and quite 'short' with their communication. I specifically requested a jack from a Clio 182 as they differ.

Low and behold, it arrives today and it's one from a regular Clio - great.

182 jack has a little clip at the top, and different winding mechanism. Lets see how RSC can sort this, if they can!:mad:

Seems the track day abuse has finally caught up with the clio lol

Lots of things breaking at the moment, needs quite a bit spending on it for repairs and consumables.

:(

anyone fitted Parada Spec 2's to the front of their 172 sport?
got mine fitted (they only make them slightly wider than the usual 195/45) and to be honest i hate them, very noisey!

A mate of mine runs them on his 182 and loves them. They are really soft and wear quickly, but it does mean they give epic grip. Not sure how well they will perform in the wet though. My RSR's are a bit of a handful :)

Anyone used this brake fluid?

http://www.kamracing.co.uk/universal/brake-fluid/cl-brakes-dot-4-racing-brake-fluid.html

Its the only non rubbish one Kam Racing sell and I figured I could get it from there with my disks to avoid getting hammered twice for postage?
