Who here owns a Renaultsport?

If your front discs or pads need changing its a good time. Front brembo discs and pads are available for £50 all in. Might be worth checking the lower ball joint too. Lots of stuff you can polybush down there too! :p

£50?! Where's that? CS forums?

The front pads were picked up on but not a failure so I may as well do them.

The note on the track rod ends was 'excessive play'. Are they actually something that can have play or is more to do with it wearing mechanically with something and therefore moving? Forgive my ignorance!

Discs - Pads (no idea what the pads are like as i use RC5+ which are around £140.)

TRE are wear and tear components (its just a ball joint that loosens up), steering will feel lovely when you replace them :)

I am looking to getting my wheels re-conditioned does any one have some advice. I have been to see a guy and some of his work in his work shop. What goes well with the ice silver body colour. Not sure an anthracite will go that well. He does some impressive shadow chrome work.

Any other advice appreciated. :)

I had my side skirts nicked!....

Too many ******...

Its yet another thing thats been added to the list of stuff that needs fixing over the winter :(. Where would I get a wiper from?

Tomorrow is D Day. Tax expires and its off the road until I get it into an MOT-able state.

I'd suspect they're fairly standard across all clios so a breakers maybe, or the bay?

Yep was my first track day! It was epic fun and the car didn't miss a beat engine wise. The only issue I had was steering wheel wobble under braking which I'm hoping is either my wheel alignment/wheel balancing and not something like warped discs.

Loved the circuit but there was a wide range of driver experiences on there which was a bit worrying really. There was a guy in a Radical driving like an idiot and nearly took me off at one point. There were also too many cars I think (87 I believe) so there were almost constant queues in the pits to get out on track...

I'll definitely be doing more in the future! Quite fancy Oulton Park next

Warped disks will be cheaper to fix than alignment or balancing :p.

When did it start? And could you feel it through the brake pedal?

I've noticed slight wheel wobble when cruising at 60mph + since fitting my refurbished Turinis. During the refurb they also straightened one of them and checked the others and then balanced them so I'm thinking it might not be that causing such drastic wobble. This is why I'm thinking of doing a wheel alignment to see if it's that as it will only cost £15 and it hasn't been done for a while.

From what I can remember I couldn't feel it through the pedal it was purely the steering wheel shaking. It was braking in a straight line too. I have just put some DS2500s on though, maybe I haven't filed enough material off the ends to fit them and they're in a bit too tight?

We were there yesterday too, my mates Silver 182 was there, he managed to break his 7yr old OEM exhaust so its lasted well!

He had DS2500s too which performed very well but did start to judder in the end, in my experience on other cars this judder will clear after a bit of normal driving but we will see.

I think I saw you on the track yesterday ? I was in my Silver S2000

Yeah I was chasing your mate's 182 as I gained confidence in my car in the afternoon sessions, there were a few other Clios too! :)

I've had my car's wheel alignment and wheel balancing looked at and the car feels much better. I'm yet to see if the car still gets wheel judder when braking from 95mph though! I'm getting a lot of brake squeel at low speeds with my DS2500s, does anyone else have this?

Also has anyone seen the Cooksport lowering springs on CS.net? They look like a bargain, I'm quite tempted to get some as they are a lot cheaper than Sportlines...

DS2500 shouldn't squeel unless they are cold/need changing...how old are they?
