The silver badges are defo coming off, i'm just thinking whether to leave the Type UK or take that off too....

Also i'm thinking of plastidip'ing the boot lock, think that would look ok in matt black? I've been watching too many plastidip videos on youtube and am thinking of what I can do:p

Edit:

Shopping list for next month...

Front splitter
Rear diffuser
Perrin Wing Stiffis (x2)

Maybe a Hawkeye top spoiler?

HT Auto seems like a good bet, any others you can think of?

The Perrin stiffis are really growing on me, seen some black STi's with them and it looks aggressive.

Also i've just bought some satin black from halfords so will be doing the blacked out detango mod on the headlights maybe tomorrow evening:D

Did the first one last night, went well!

Going into oven at 100c for 10-15 mins

Will get some final shots on the car once ive washed and polished it, looks a mess with all the sand rain last week.

I bought a 2003 Impreza WRX STI Type UK a couple of weeks ago...

It is in pretty good nick - completely standard. Has a few bushes (no idea which ones) that are worn and need changing. Also get a fair bit of wind noise at the back so am thinking of replacing the door/window seals.

It's a lot quieter than I thought it would be and certainly likes its petrol.

Only pictures are on the traders website. May take some at the weekend after it's been cleaned.

I would really like to have PPP but it would probably irritate the neighbours but on the other hand a colleague had a WRX with PPP and I had a perma-grin on my face sat in that thing.

But for now I am looking at upgrading the sound system as it just has the standard equipment and an epic cassette player lol

Few minor dings but for it's age it is in really good condition.

The front and rear tyres are different... fronts are Eagle F1 and the rear are Bridgestone Potenzas, would that harm it in anyway?

Nope, the tyres will be fine. Just try and get them to wear down all together by swapping them around and buy a complete new set then. Helps the balance of the car more than anything.

PPP really isn't going to annoy anyone's neighbours, there are louder diesels :D Plus there's no point in the PPP these days, just get a decent exhaust system (second hand) and remap, more power, better under the curve torque, just better and cheaper :)

Sound system wise, take the rear speakers out, they're pants! Put some decent 6.5" component speakers upfront, plus a decent amount of sound proofing on the door cards to stop rattling, and of course on the door skin, decent double din touch screen headunit, maybe an amp, and sorted. Or even add a small under seat sub, or one better a decent 10" sub in the boot.

I've created a thread RE: Ice installation... I thought the fronts were 13cm - 5.25"?

Would you be able to help me out?

Thanks for the advice, what sort of exhaust system would you suggest? I don't want anything mega loud just want to hear more of the distinctive scooby note.

You can fit 6.5" in there. Using either home made spacers or I believe the Vauxhall Corsa 6.5" spacers work :)

Exhaust wise, find yourself a Prodrive downpipe, and something like a Revolution cat back exhaust (very quiet.)

What about depth wise?

Is there a decent guide somewhere? What forum do you use - I don't really like the look of scoobynet tbh, don't know if it's because I'm used to this one

Ta muchly.

I am getting about 200 miles from my car - mostly town and a bit of dual carriageway...I'm not sure I trust the fuel gauge so have been filling up before the fuel light comes on (come to think of it does it actually have one?)

What do you get from yours?
