Who here owns a Subaru?

Yea it is a little expensive, but it had everything that i wanted IE with the low mileage FSH plus all the old MOT documentation, i had looked at quite a few that claimed they were in great condition etc etc, only to turn up and the vehicle was a complete shed. So i paid a little more than i should have to get a straight car :)

What mods would see me hit around 350Bhp ??
 
Hitting around 350bhp is a bit harder than it sounds, aim for 340bhp and you won't be disappointed :)

Ported manifold
Stainless up pipe
Decat down pipe (PPP has a sports cat already)
Decat centre section (PPP has decat already)
Decent long centre section and backbox (Prodrive is known to be a bit restrictive)
Decent panel filter
Good remap

I would maybe consider just getting the car mapped as it is, and you may well be happy enough with the results.
 
No worries. I'm just in the process of making my next round of (very minor) modifications and am hoping to get a map tweak soon. The changes I make may not even make a difference, but worth a go. Will share my results and changes once they've been made :)
 
Nice car reaper! G, that is pricey for the mileage regardless of mods, looks good though!

I've sent back the 2 piece skirt extensions back to htauto and replacing them with the single piece ones, after seeing pics the single piece look the best.

Been in London with the car for a few weeks now and the attention it gets is amazing, people love a bit of Scooby and also the big hotels don't mind me being parked up front:D
 
Just sent them an email. They have a silver one for sale very very similar, only difference is the Bob Rawle remap. Same mileage, mods and even same WR1 wheels. Theyre selling that for £8K!

If I can get them down to £8500 I'll go buy. Can't buy it and enjoy it knowing I've paid over the odds.
 
What always makes me laugh with garages, is their response will be like "£8000, but thats £1500 off the list price!"...

Yes it is, but a list price you plucked out the air. Twit.

It's only abour £350-£500 for a remap anyway isn't it? I think Duncan from Racedynamix is up my away often.

Usual thing: someone does a load of mods and assumes that they add value. They don't. Most cases you're lucky if they don't lose you value, and at best mods are worth 10% of what you paid for them. But 343BHP is lower-mid levelling modding and thus worth nothing. Not even mapping by Bob Rawle will change that. That car has book value for a standard car of that mileage whether the owner likes it or not.
