Who owns a Mondeo ST220 / ST TDCI?

Crap photos, crap listing, Enduro tyres, 5 previous owners (presumably excluding him)... I don't think I'd waste my time travelling to see that tbh.

The front passenger seat appears to be stained/burnt and has electrical wiring poking out of it.

I went in my old ST220 at the weekend for the first time since I sold it.

DAT JP EXHAUST NOISE.

I'd forgotten what it was like. Everyone with an ST220 that has the standard exhaust, change it for one now.

Just seeing the link to that mullered passenger seat on that ST220 why is it that the black leather seems to age worse than the ivory or red. You can see every little crack on the black leather. When i spent ages looking for one the majority of them i seen for sale that had black leather were a mess where as the ivory and red always seemed to look good with no cracks etc.
Here is mine wanted red but couldn't find one for sale so had to settle for ivory. seats look like they have never been sat in compared to most for sale. Not bad for a 10yr old car.

So my ST200 head gasket blew :( Although still drivable it makes a massive racket. 130,000 miles bye bye head gasket

900 quid for the work ouch! shame car is in good condition just don't have the cash to get it done

* If anyone knows some ford enthusiast who doesn't want to charge me an arm and a leg email me (hertfordshire)

Shame you are in Hertfordshire. Bout 150miles from me i think.

My mechanic is a ex-Noble specialist. Could dismantle and rebuild the engine with his eyes closed.

Dunno if this is the right place, but what is there to look out for on the Mondeo 2.2 TDCI (200ps)?
Or Mondeo/Focus 2.0 TDCI (160ps)?

Reliable units? Comments compared to a VAG 170bhp 2.0 tdi?

dual mass fly wheel and the clutch. its the work of the devil.

It the same on most heavy cars with torquey diesels and all depends on how it's been driven. Mine is still on the original at 186,000 miles but it's 90% motorway. If 90% of your driving is short town trips they'll go much quicker.

What you will notice is that Ford started transferring to the Powershift auto box in it's more powerful mondeos (petrol and diesel), probably to avoid these issues.
