Who owns a Mondeo ST220 / ST TDCI?

Should probably stop taking the ST down roads it's not really built for. :o Ended up doing a 6 point turn in mud and sheep **** and turning back which was fun considering this was how I got there. That was a fun road to come up....and then down.

It's not stock the front bumper is an ST bumper and he's even put on the ad ZS/ST220 style kit! And he listed it among the ST220's in the search on eBay. He also makes out the 140bhp is fast and even says it's faster than his old ST24

Howard, your in the know when comes to ford things.

The seals that go up each side on the windscreen need replacing. I cannot find any to buy. Do your magic please :)

If you're talking about the plastic strip that the arrows are pointing to (excuse my shoddy mspaint work):

Then I should imagine they just pull off?

It's number 4:

And presumably clips in to number 5.

I'm not 100 per cent sure though - See if it pulls off perhaps.

so, my nearside spring had snapped (right at the bottom) and while changing it today I decided to, change the front drop link, put a new top mount on (apparently they can go on the st220 as its a heavy engine, first time I've heard of this but I didn't want to pull the shocker off again in future so just bought one for the sake of £16) and bought a new lower ball joint bolt so I could just bash the old one out without worrying about needing to put it back in.

jacked up, wheel off, track rod end came out no problem. went to do the drop link and it refused to budge, after trying everything to get this nut off (wd40, heat gun etc) we turned to chiselling it off and found that who every put it on, caked it in Loctite -.-

the lower ball joint bolt came out no problem (so didn't even need to buy the new one, oh well) but the joint refused to drop out, eventually we got it out but was a right pita!.

pulled the shocker out and removed the old spring and top mount (ps, if you do this, make sure to take note which angle the top mount is located as there is a correct way to put it in, I marked the bolt closet to the window with a bit of tipex).

the new oem spring took forever to compress enough to get the new top mount on, I was getting a bit worried on the strain but got it on eventually.

as we were putting the shocker back in place the bloody drive shaft popped out!!. argh..

got the shocker in place, then put the drive shaft back together and everything else popped back into place. along with the new drop link.

what a right pain!!, what should have been a 1-2 hour job took 5 hours and that was only 1 side, I have the bits to do the other side but might just ignore it for a few months while I recover :P

tl:dr .... find someone else to fit springs for you

im guessing you got a pry bar on it ? really your ment to lower the entire subframe to get the joint out...a lot of people do it using a pry bar but it can put a lot of strain on bushes.

Just a quick question my MOT is due up start of July and my 12month service is due end of July. Obviously I can't sell it private like that but would this also affect my trade in price? Or would most car dealerships not be that bothered as they normally Mot them themselves anyway?
A service with all filters and oil change will cost me £150 is it worth paying out for this and then MOT'ing to sell private or just trade it in?
I can't even come to a price of what's acceptable as trade in as the ST220 prices are all over the place! If I sell private I'll put it on for 3k it's 2004 with 93k
