If I do get a Ryzen CPU it'll be teamed with an Nvidia 1080 because I can't afford to wait for Vega. I'll probably upgrade the GPU in a couple of years when new GPUs come out. Hopefully Ryzen and a 1080 will work well together.

Cant see it happening, it would create a lot of controversy if they did, as ardent Nvidia fans would boycott AMD cpu's if they did. Would be an extremely bold move if they offered increase in performance if coupled with an AMD card, but you would get a lot of conspiracy theory "gimping" rumors and hence a boycott of the CPU by many.
Also hoping its not a temperature beast. The last AMD processors I had got so hot I had insane typhoon fans on them, rather loud.
I am waiting for Ryzen and will surely be doing a new build just waiting for some pricing. Will probably go for a Gigabyte motherboard as they have always served me well.
RAM wise I'm not too sure about the brand i want something with so LED lighting really what would you recommend and speed wise 3200Mhz or what ever is faster.
I have no idea of which CPU cooler to get as i am not sure which ones are compatible yet.
I am two minds about buying a new case i have had my current one since 2009 and it still works for me. If i was to change it anything you would recommend?
Thanks
I think you will be fine with any decent ram around 3200-3400mhz obviously the lower CAS rating the better, would say around C15 for 3200mhz is going to be ok, C16 for 3400mhz etc, Geil do some RGB stuff, G-Skill Trident Z comes in RGB too, you will pay more for RGB though.
Coolers, personal preference i think, im going AIO as it looks neater and tidy and the results are generally as good as the decent air coolers without adding all that weight on your mobo, personal choice on those would be NZXT Kraken 62, Evga 280 CLC, or at the cheaper end the ID-Cooling ones are superb for the money. For Air then Thermaltake, Noctua, Phantek or Cryorig coolers are all basically the better ones.
With regards to case, again personal choice, i think your current case is still decent, i have a Phanteks case and i can highly recommend them, but ive also had Corsair cases and they are superb and highly recommended as well.
what do you think of this RAM it looks rather tall though so if i have a large cooler might be an issue. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/avex...l-channel-memory-kit-red-light-my-115-ar.html
I have chosen this cooler not sure if it will be compatible though https://www.overclockers.co.uk/thermaltake-riing-silent-pro-12-blue-cpu-cooler-120mm-hs-044-tt.html
Nope, they are closed loop, a self contained unit, basically you attach the cpu block which contains the pump normally, to the CPU, slap the radiator and fans on the case, plug it in, job donean AIO cooler seems like a better solutionm I have never used one and don't really know how they work. Do you have to top up the levels and stuff like that?
Thank you for your prompt response. Will have to wait for the Ryzen release hopefully it wont be long and then i can get the stuff ordered.
It's going to be 29th Feb for the release isn't it? then it depends when retailers get stock.
Never had a CLC before either... Early models seemed to suffer from pump problems/noise, but I'm guessing that that's largely a thing of the past?
I'm using an Antec from 2011 and had no issues at all, seems very quiet to me. No hesitation getting another AIO for my next build.
Another 3 years to wait?
