who's on chrome?

Until a couple of months ago I swore by FF, now on Chrome with Speed Dial and Ad Block extensions. Wouldn't go back to FF now as it seems so slow in comparison

I saw the FF4 Beta today. The UI is Opera 10.60, except it says Firefox instead of Opera.

I was a long-time Opera devotee until I got tired of the lack of support it has on some websites. I liked the minimal interface of Chrome so I switched. I like the speed, the UI and the bookmark sync is handy too.

I think Opera had Opera Link before Chrome did...

Just tried chrome, seems pretty quick, but how do people deal with bookmarks? I dont want the whole bookmark toolbar at the top, ideally I want just a button to open a dropdown bookmark menu as Im used to in Firefox. Is this possible, if not what do people use and do?

If Chrome had an extension like Tab Mix Plus I'd probably give it a try, but not being able to open bookmarks to new tabs by left clicking, or links that open to new sites in a new tab by left clicking is a show stopper for me.

shift click

ctrl+shift click

ctrl click

I'm sure there are other shortcuts that are useful.

BUT I see your point if there are instances where you only have the use one hand to browse the web.:D

Ctrl + shift + B will hide & show the bookmark toolbar :)

It used to be just ctrl + B dunno why they have changed that.

Been using chrome for a while now. I love how snappy it is, the omnibar and how clean it is.

hi

in terms of security how good is this browser , ive always used FF but would like a change if the security is just as good ?

not sure myself, but i know with firefox if you dont use a master password and firefox saves your web site passwords then if someone gets access to your pc they can simply view your passwords and access at a later stage. i have never known why firefox does that.

is there not a option so when you close ff it clears all passwords?

The only reason why I don't use Chrome is because of the Bookmarks bar, I couldn't figure out how to make it look the same as my FF one. There probably is a way now, but I haven't tried Chrome in ages :p

Is there an extension or add on for these kind of bookmarks?
