Why are Evri are so absolutely abysmal?

Evri is utterly shocked useless. How can I contact their human customer service??? Customer service is non existence. Their digital assistant is shocked USELESS.

I got 2 parcels from Evri still not delivered since last Thur 1 Dec, not impressed with Evri.

Had 1 parcel from DHL delivered on 30 Nov at 6.32pm and 1 parcel from DPD delivered on 2 Dec at 5.11pm. Really very impressed with both DHL and DPD.

On the other side of the coin, I placed an order with a company yesterday and it was delivered by Evri before 1pm today :)

As always, your experience will vary.
 
Neighbour had a delivery from Evri today. Apparently the driver didn't even bother to knock on their door, he just left the package on the pavement and drove away. She checked her CCTV and it's about 35 minutes from him leaving it on the pavement until she gets a text saying it's been delivered. Only problem is, it's only 20 minutes after he left it that some scrote scoops it up and has it away.

How this company is still in business i dont know, alter the name and still the same rubbish service with absolutely no way for your customers to make any kind of contact with them if thigs go wrong (which they do, a lot), i get that this is very area-dependant, im now waiting over 14 days for a basic delivery with these clowns, my local area everyone complaining items just going missing or no delivery at all with Evri.....usually if i see someone is selling something and the delivery is Evri i wont buy and look elsewhere.

When a recent order confirmation said "Delivered by Evri" my heart sank, now the date keeps slipping and the advise is "we will refund 3 days after failed delivery" well thats never going to happen if the date keeps slipping......kind of feels that they have your money held to ransom, think i would have had better luck if the delivery was through RoyalFail even with their strikes taking place, please people selling anything, please dont use Evri, its just not worth the hassle for your customers !

Edit 08/12 - Now informed that the packages are "missing in transit" from the original seller = Stolen is the reality lets be honest, seller of the original goods now willing to send again via a different delivery company, my local FB Group for my area has also manic with other peoples Evri parcels going missing and Evri really do not give a dam......a company that has no way for you the customer to make contact with them, should be avoided like the plague !

Someone posted on a local FB group a few days back - They found the location of the Evri depot near Chester-Le-Street and went there in search of their parcel. It looked more like a recycling centre. Crate upon crate stacked with parcels, left outside in the open for anyone to grab, stuff piled up all over the place inside. They go in, have a walk about seemingly unchallenged for some time, before eventually being asked if they need help. Depot manager apparently had no clue what was going on. It looked like pure chaos with seemingly no order to where things were slung. A total mess!

You get what you pay for....
 
My recent experience with an order from Autodoc.

Discs and pads plus rear wiper for my car.

Sent in two packages for whatever reason and not at the same time with discs in one, pads and wiper in the other.

Monday 28/11 - discs delivered, photo as proof - all good.
Monday night - get another email 20:47 saying they've delivered the other (to my business address) - critically, no photo (we have a big box to put deliveries into).
Tuesday - come to office to get my packages and the second is nowhere to be seen and asked estate manager and other tenants - check the CCTV at the time claimed they delivered - nobody arrived at site.

As of today, I still have no idea where it is and autodoc are being useless with their response as below, despite stating I'd checked CCTV and no van actually arrived.

Please accept our deepest apologies for inconveniences.
We are processing this matter together with our logistic department.
As soon as we get an answer we will immediately contact you.

In the mean time, kindly double-check around your neighborhood, perhaps one of your neighbors or relatives received instead of you by mistake.


The pads were about £35 but I needed to do the job so the alternative was ECP and cost me £92. I have obviously also paid out for the original order and have not had my money back for those.

They just need to be deleted from existence; how this is a profitable enterprise is anyone's guess!
 
Is only going to get worse due to Royal mail constantly kicking themselves up the backside, many companies have cancelled contracts with RM due to the frequency of strike action and evri have taken over.

Although not a massive seller, I have almost stopped shipping with RM now and use Evri or DPD for as much as I possibly can

I wish that could be an option for incoming mail as well, as I would gladly pay a little more to do so.
 
Rm have push forward their dates of last posting date.

Last date for 2nd class - now Monday 12th
Last date for 1st class - now Friday 16th.

My mum’s friend will still post her card on 22nd and get it 7th Jan. Normally we get hers NYE.
 
RM have really affected Evri capacity to deliver/ Amazed at just how many parcels are daily checked in at my local drop off dhop. That said no complaints with Evri service All my ebay evri parcels posted early this week (4) have all arrived in good time. Am still waiting on RM parcel delivery from 2 weeks ago.
 
This is disgusting behaviour from the company. Investigation launched after huge sackfuls of Evri parcels found dumped in Beacon Road, Chatham


Not defending Evri, but this happens a lot with other couriers/mail senders and has been so for years.
