Why is AMD quiet about black screens on 290x?

Your post didnt whether you still get black screens or not. I'm sure its probably just a language thing.

Do you still get black screens now or it fixed for you?

Indeed he is not clear.

The drivers kind of fix the problem for me, its harder to induce now. AMD is going in the right direction atleast.

Which means that its takes longer to black screen.

So its not fixed but that must also be at stock because if the harder to induce means overclocking then he should have specified because that changes it to it is fixed at stock but now needs an OC to black screen.

So yes his post is ambiguous.

No need for tin foil hats just yet.. The drivers seem fine, stability and performance. This is a newer architecture so you would expect a few teething problems. Things will only improve over time. I'm happy with my card , the black screen was the only issue I had. Now it's cool, silent and deadly :p

Way to only quote half a post, litecoin mining is a very repeatable way of measuring GPU performance and it is distinctly lower with the new drivers. Obviously gaming performance is what is important.

I have said from the VERY BEGINNING that im ocing. And that im encountering black screens when overvolting too much. (Some have fixed their black screens by undervolting)

My post is NOT vague or unclear, if you guys actually READ my posts you'd see that i AM ocing. I cant give you a result from a stock clock standpoint because i never had black screens on STOCK.

Now stop trying to accuse me of being unclear when you cant understand my post BECAUSE you didnt CARE to read my previous posts.

Lol, so do you still get black screens with the latest 9.4 driver or not?

This problem is really getting under my skin and starting to **** me off. AMD havent said crap about this problem, nothing, nada. And there seems to be no fixes so far.

Jesus ADGSHAWERHJNSTEGRA christ....

This is your first post, you should have stated clearly in that first post that its only when overclocking then it would have put everything in the right context from the very being and then people would not have to read many subsequent posts of yours to work out that it is only when overclocking and skim reading through page after page with a high chance of missing that crucial post, with many just reading the first few posts and then going to the last page, it was your 7th post before you mentioned OCing.

You may just have a bad clocker then.

Lol another troll.

Keep with the name calling because you cant handle the facts of what you said you did from the very beginning and what you actually did when you started this thread including the title because both imply the issue at stock, you were not clear from the being period, which would not be a problem if for the fact that you keep claiming that you were, so you brought that on yourself, you could have saved plenty of headache by editing your first post.

And now look at the other fact which is now put into context with your latest comments.

The drivers kind of fix the problem for me, its harder to induce now. AMD is going in the right direction atleast.

Which means you think that you are entitled to a greater OC than what you are currently getting and AMD is obligated to give it to you.

for the 10th ****ing time. I dont get black screens because of ocing (I have said this several times to several people in this thread, including gregster). I get it from overvolting. I can overvolt on stock and induce black screens. Now start reading posts and stop making uneducated claims. Blocked.

Again you totally miss the point im making, it does not matter if its Ocing or overvolting in reply to me because its besides the point to the point that im making because it changes nothing to the fact that you were not clear in your first post and you have moved on to calling names and strawman replys instead of admitting that you were not clear from the start hence why even 18 pages on -
Read your post again mate and again just to make sure. Please assume everyone on here is as thick as me, so no fix for you then. ;):D

-some others are still asking you the same equations, its clear that your never going to admit it.

And in fact i have been more interested in reading other people posts in this thread but your attitude at times towards others which in this case is undeserved in this thread because of you not being clear from the start has induced me to comment.

Indeed. The attitude absolutely stinks. He's giving the impression of being an angry 14 year old.

I'm not always that polite myself but i do try to keep it to a warranted situation.
If he was clear from the start i would have no issue with him being worked up towards others but personally i would still not use some of the words he has.

At least there has been some useful info from others in this thread.

Assuming that when people click on a thread go back and read all the posts...

It's a forum man most people read the first page and last one or two when there's like 18 pages. No one likes reading through that much stuff. So when one of your posts is quite unclear without knowing your previous posts yes its ambiguous so stop getting angry at people for not reading through 18 pages to find your posts and assuming they are stupid.
