Why you SHOULD be using Firefox

I have just found out that some of the UI elements are not consistent. I was using the ash theme and when I downloaded something the UI elements where the default purple.

Interestingly they've announced Firefox Enterprise.

Initially thought it was another ESR but looks to be a full of product for Enterprises. Good to see them trying to get other revenue streams other than nonsense I guess.

I've noticed that since the new UI update that FF takes a slight moment longer to cold boot up than what it used to. It used to load the moment I click the icon, then resume the website pages where I left it. now the initial boot takes what appears to be around 200-300ms though the pages in focus load fast still.

Not an issue as it's not an annoying load delay but still an observation.

On my Firefox install, the tabs and URL bar have changed several times over the past month.

In order of events:

- tabs become narrower in height - I don't like because they're harder to click on correctly
- zoom e.g. 130% became a black block - obv I don't like because I can't see the zoom level
- then the tabs became light text on dark background - I do like as it now matches my dark theme
- then yesterday, the tabs became circular as per recent posts on here - not sure abouot this yet
- in the same update (yesterday), the zoom issue in point no.2 went away, so that's a positive

So my main issue now is point no.1 with the thinner height tabs as I sometimes accidentally click on the wrong tab or close the wrong tab, or click out of the program to a window that's behind it (if not in full screen).

Settings -> Appearance -> Window Density - > Try choosing Touch/Standard and see if that helps.

I'm switching back to Firefox because I was getting annoyed with Safari not syncing bookmarks properly. I haven't used Firefox in quite a long time so it'll take a bit to get used to it.

Another reason to use FF. I just noticed that Microsoft used the Edge update mechanism to silently install a 1.4 GB Copilot application on my PC in the last day or so. At least buy me dinner before you **** me Microsoft! I only noticed because I was uninstalling something else and had a bit of a dig to see where Copilot came from. It's not even a freebie, you have to make an account and log in to use it.
