Why you SHOULD be using Firefox

I can sign in just fine. It's probably related to enabling some universal windows sign in; as it now supports that, pin entry and passkeys.

I can sign into Outlook.com, but I need to manually enter my email address which is irritating, especially when it worked before. But my password is available for me to click on after entering my email, which is odd.

You can block auto field entry in code. Perhaps that's what's happened here. It's not a Firefox bug, I don't think. I didn't need to enter my address as it had a new box at the bottom telling me I already had credentials to sign in.

How can I check if I have blocked this? I don't know what you mean by "in code", but I've tried disabled uBlock Origin and Enhanced Tracking Protection and still my email address isn't offered to me.

Something I wanted in Firefox for years was vertical tabs so that they appear on the left edge of the screen. A few days ago, Firefox updated to 138.0.4, and alas it now has vertical tabs. The problem is though is that I can't make it auto-hide in full screen like I can do with the horizontal tabs. I always work in full screen mode. To make the horizontal tabs appear, I move my mouse to the top of the screen to make them appear so that I can click on another tab, then it disappears again when I move the mouse away from the top. I wanted the same behaviour for the vertical tabs but doesn't seem to be an option at the moment.

about:config

Search for "sidebar.revamp" and change it from true to false.

This disables vertical tabs for the time being until I can find a way of it auto-hiding.

Even better would be an option to have vertical tabs only and no horizontal tabs.

I have my vertical tabs to just show the icon which is iseal for me, but yeah not sure about fully hiding.
