How can I check if I have blocked this? I don't know what you mean by "in code", but I've tried disabled uBlock Origin and Enhanced Tracking Protection and still my email address isn't offered to me.You can block auto field entry in code. Perhaps that's what's happened here. It's not a Firefox bug, I don't think. I didn't need to enter my address as it had a new box at the bottom telling me I already had credentials to sign in.
Something I wanted in Firefox for years was vertical tabs so that they appear on the left edge of the screen. A few days ago, Firefox updated to 138.0.4, and alas it now has vertical tabs. The problem is though is that I can't make it auto-hide in full screen like I can do with the horizontal tabs. I always work in full screen mode. To make the horizontal tabs appear, I move my mouse to the top of the screen to make them appear so that I can click on another tab, then it disappears again when I move the mouse away from the top. I wanted the same behaviour for the vertical tabs but doesn't seem to be an option at the moment.
about:config
Search for "sidebar.revamp" and change it from true to false.
This disables vertical tabs for the time being until I can find a way of it auto-hiding.
Even better would be an option to have vertical tabs only and no horizontal tabs.
Mozilla frets about Google's push to build AI into Chrome
AI could bring a new round of browser wars
or they could just continue without AI.... there are plenty of us out there that don't want or need AI in every single thing![]()

Amen brother! I've downgraded my upcoming M365 subscription to get rid of Co-Pilot. Stop assuming I want AI with everything please Microsoft, Google, Mozilla etc.or they could just continue without AI.... there are plenty of us out there that don't want or need AI in every single thing
I cancelled mine, just created a Mint Linux VM and use Libra Office, its free.Amen brother! I've downgraded my upcoming M365 subscription to get rid of Co-Pilot. Stop assuming I want AI with everything please Microsoft, Google, Mozilla etc.
I've used co-pilot a few times to speed up some excel formulas, quite handy for that imo but it was via the browser on the copilot website... I'm fine with an app/website for it but I don't need it built in, it's bad enough avoiding the AI slop on youtube/websites already, don't need it in the OS/software as well lol.Amen brother! I assume you know you can use LibreOffice in Windows? Did you specifically want to try out Linux Mint in a VM?I cancelled mine, just created a Mint Linux VM and use Libra Office, its free.
Precisely. Currently I don't need AI but I'm sure I could find a use for it at some point but in such a way that I go and use it not being forced in my face in every program.I've used co-pilot a few times to speed up some excel formulas, quite handy for that imo but it was via the browser on the copilot website... Google Gemini? What kind of things do you use it for? How to do stuff or create texts to work from?I have to admit I upgraded my Google Workspace account for the AI and it is pretty useful at times.
Use a Mint VM for SQL Server and some other work stuff, prefer to keep some things off the host OS. Slowly moving everything away from Windows.I assume you know you can use LibreOffice in Windows? Did you specifically want to try out Linux Mint in a VM?

Has Google got rid of the www.google.co.uk domain? Because although it's set as my homepage, I get redirected to www.google.com.
I've used gemini to make some images from descriptions, worked ok once I'd given it enough instructions...Google Gemini? What kind of things do you use it for? How to do stuff or create texts to work from?
