Will Smith hits Chris Rock on Oscars stage

real shame to see that happen. probably a poor taste joke but didn't deserve that reaction.
could have walked out or asked for apology as others have said.
the odd thing is he does seem to laugh at the joke initially ...

You can’t physically assault someone like that on account of a joke. It didn’t show courageousness, it showed weakness on Smith’s part. It didn’t show wisdom either, it showed pure impulsiveness and an inability to control one’s self. It didn’t recapture his wife’s honour either, it had actually made what would have been a forgettable moment something that will be remembered forever, and not in a good way.

He could have confronted Rock and demanded an apology for example. But to default to physical assault, that only serves to reflect badly on Smith. You can’t set a precedent where it’s ok to assault comedians either.

Well, a face slap to Chris Rock certainly brightened up the otherwise usual tedious back slapping this ceremony is….

In the grand scheme of things, hasn’t Rock got previous for having a go at Smiths Mrs?

Regardless of the rumours about his marriage, I’m not surprised he gave him a slap, I am however very surprised he did it on live tv and just prior to receiving his first - and possibly last - Gong….
 
I find it comical she's supposodly so insecure about her hairline, even back in 1997 in scream 2 her hair was practically shaved. Wear a wig and stfu you wang connoisseur.
 
It’s funny seeing Jada being made out as some sort of villain for talking about her agreed relationship with with another man. Like will smith wasnt banging anything that wasn’t tied down for years.

anyhow he slapped him for talking **** about his wife in front of millions, in front of millions.

Comical in what way? Comical like MJ going from black to white, or comical like Stephen Hawking having a degenerative condition?

TBH I had no idea this film had even been made, until now. I don't know how it passed me by because after Richard Williams was on Richard Bacons radio show a few years back I bought his autobiography and it was an excellent read and insight into why his daughters are how they are. I never liked the Williams sisters at all until I read that book, then I wished I'd supported them throughout their careers.

Women more so than men have options to cover it up and nobody would be any the wiser. Black women seem to generally wear weaves or full blown wigs as their natural hair seems quite limited in the amount of styles it can achieve vs Caucasian hair. And having looked at some images of her over the years she certainly no stranger to weaves or outright wigs. So in that sense not a lot has changed in regard to her options.

And you're seriously comparing alopecia (which can be a condition that comes and goes) to Motor Neuron Disease? Must be huffing some grade a hash.

No attempt to defend himself, step back or retaliate.
