As per my spec, a Clevo X8100 with 5870m crossfire (basically slightly underclocked 5770 crossfire)
To steal a picture from the net, as below. The GPU setup in it is buggy as its brand new and needs a BIOS update or two to get everything running as it should with the screen, and its quite big, definately a DTR (although not HDX Dragon big)...but my god...for a laptop it's fast.

And no, I didnt pay anywhere near the asking price for various reasons. I'm not insane enough to spend £3k on a laptop :p

I almost want to ask for a pic of the heatsinks, looks like they might be impressive from all the ventilation space on the back.

I have a kobalt g860(clevo m860tu i think) for about 15 months or so now, i havent had any issues with it so far. Actually, one complaint....i dont like the trackpad.

15.6inch 1600*900 display
i7 820qm
nvidia gtx 280m 1gb
4gb ram
120gb ocz vertex
Gives me a grand total of 45 minutes battery life :D

Cost me a pretty penny at the time (around £1700 i believe)

I would post a pic but its not all that impressive to look at to be honest

The heatsinks aren't quite as big as you might expect, especially not compared to the x7200 or its predecessor. It's certainly not silent but these 5870ms are actually quite good in terms of temps, I mean they don't even push 80 with furmark as I remember. Probably run cooler than the 940xm on average!
If you do want a pic I should be able to whip the back off at some point this weekend.
The machine pushes about 4.1k in 3dmark11 so its no slouch even if there is better stuff on the horizon.

That score destroys mine but it still plays the latest games which is all that is important to me.

Dont worry about taking the back off, i will take your word for it. Theres about 9 screws holding the back of mine in place, no doubt theres even more on that and some of them are a pain to get back in.

Metachi, what do you think of the E6410?
Needing to replace a D630 and was thinking about one of these, I've heard the generic "it gets far too hot" claims though... How do you find build quality?

Little more reassured by DannyW's experience though. I've always thought the E series would break if you so much as look at them in the wrong way...

The build quality is beautiful and the screen hinges really are something else, theyre big chunky aluminium things that still look neat but the screen is solid, mines taken a fair few drops onto carpet and laminate floor and besides the odd mark its been fine, i was thinking of upgrading to the e6410 but they still have the same rubbish graphics card, i like the e series but i still think the ibm thinkpads are tougher
