Why does it seem to be weird old people being creepy about selfies. That same guy kept trying to grab Venus around the shoulder, not sure he was saying or asked if he could get a picture but Venus seemed creeped out the guy kept kinda grabbing towards her.

Same thing though, guy there getting something signed, turns away and doesn't say anything to Konta, just trying to take a picture of him missing actually interacting with the person. Weirdos.

Yeah, they showed the replay again just now, she definitely stopped and I think absolutely deserved the point replayed, but then she really should have kept playing the point anyway.
Is there provision in the laws of the game for replaying a point because someone makes a noise? I can imagine that getting very messy with it left to the umpire's judgement, players stopping when someone farts or coughs, huge arguments etc.

Too subjective and I think the top level pros especially need to be able to concentrate enough to block it out.

It's definitely unfair, but I don't think replaying points in that situation would work.

Also - Konta is about as British as I am Australian.

Halep had no complaints. She knows exactly what happened a few months ago during a Fed cup tie where she had the home crowd on her side and her captain Ilie Nastase getting sent off court for calling our team "bitches". :p

As a pro Halep should have known to play the ball until officially called out or it bounces twice etc. I think in her head she heard the fan's scream and believed it would be officially called out, when it wasn't she had already dumped the ball in the net. I must agree with others though, I know fans get excited but I think it is terrible etiquette to shout out when the ball is still in play. Ironically this "fan's" shout was more likely to put Konta off as she was actually striking the ball at the time.
