Windows 10 Game Mode these results look promising

Hmmm need to do more testing

4770k @ 4.1ghz - 1070 AMP Extreme at stock settings on drivers 378.78

The Division ingame Benchmark

The Division DX11 Win10 1607 - average 107fps (modified settings)
The Division DX12 Win10 1607 - average 114fps (modified settings)

The Division DX11 Win10 Creators - average 111fps (modified settings same as above)
The Division DX12 Win10 creators - average 107fps (modified settings same as above)

So for me it looks like a gain in DX11 performance but a less in DX12, but that could just be Nvidias rubbish DX12 driver lol.

Nice gains there, I haven't tried it out in game yet, just been turning off all the recording stuff that I don't need.

So in most of my games Win+G doesn't want to open and I can't see a anyway to manually add a game.

I think for those games that the bar does not work with you have to change to windowed mode, enable game mode and then switch back to full screen

Changed to the latest Nvidia drivers 381.65

So overall it seems the Creators update has added zero fps to The Division on my PC.

Edited to add newer driver benchmarks

MASSIVE HEADS UP!! Word or warning, might be isolated to me and im unlucky but needs to be said.

This update has well and truly @*!%#$ up my system. After restart pc was completely unresponsive, took about 30 minutes on its first initial reboot after install, took minutes to even open 1 file in windows Explorer. My screen flickers, programs like DDU, Unigene Heaven, Valley won't open at all even after a reinstall. Rivatuner says it can't connect to server even after a reinstall. On attempting to install new AMD driver it just black screens halfway through. Games won't load, the ones that do controls are all messed up, player moves in opposite directions to my inputs etc.

Edit: Ok solving some stuff bit by bit, turned off game mode games now loading fine and controls are back to normal. Still can't get some programs working but got the new AMD driver on which has solved the flickering issues on desktop (so far anyway), weird how certain programs will now not launch though, even after a fresh install of the program.

Yikes...

Didn't have any of those issues Tony!

Although my GTA 5 launcher was crashing but after closing MSI afterburner + rivatuner, it worked fine (had to use fraps to check FPS)

I'm still on 16.11.5 drivers though.

That is where you went wrong, you did an update. Never do that. Always do a clean install ;)

I just did a secure erase on SSD which made it nice and fresh. Removed everything, no partitions left or anything. Then install latest windows :D

People try and take shortcuts and then end up causing a lot more grief. Like oh, I changed from and AMD GPU to an Nvidia one (or vice versa), shall I run DDU, oh crap it's crashing.. etc etc. Just save time and run secure erase, takes like 30 seconds and start fresh.

Yeah more and more reports coming that this update is rather buggy , my commiserations to your system.

I have never heard of having to a clean install just for an update to get it to work , that is ridiculous.

I have the creators update but haven't played anything since installing, is game mode just something that runs automatically now or are there settings for it somewhere in Windows?

Under settings, you have a gaming section which contains the game mode + bar/recording etc. and it can be turned on/off.

I've turned it off due to it interfering with rivatuner OSD i.e. not being able to show/hide it during game with the f12 key.

Riva works fine for me, odd that so many people are having so many different issues.

Actually no it's M$oft it isn't odd - it's normal.

So far I have only tried Overwatch and Battlefield 1 and the game bar opens fine for both in full screen mode.

Not had any issues apart from the update resetting some of my GFX card settings like V-sync so check them.

You able to toggle it on and off ok? Under MSI AB, I have mine to only ever be toggled "on" and "off", not "hidden" or "shown"
