Windows 10

I think that's part of continuum, unless you make it full screen (ellipsis on left of title bar)

thanks, whats continuum? as in it doesn;t remember the setting? so when you open it again, it doesn't go fll screen.

also they've removed swipe down, I find that easier even with a mouse/ than finding the cross.

what catogry would I even file a request that full screen setting is remembered.

Continuum seems to be switching to the fullscreen touch friendly mode, although it still has the taskbar, hopefully that can be hidden.

Is there anyway to make the app's scale properly? The Mail App just looks ridiculous and isn't viable as a client. This is on my 1080p Ultrabook.

Feels like a backwards step in some cases :(.

Also, don't forget people, MS showed off the start menu in April, this really was meant to be a service pack.

Have you tried pc settings > pc and devices > display > change the size of applications?

I like the 'new' start menu, though i wish there was an option to hide the Apps from the taskbar when they are running, like in 8. As they run in their own windows theres a bit of clutter, and i don't think they look as good as they do in 8.

EDIT: When you select the full screen option, i wish it would stay that way after opening and closing it

That fixed it.
How do I make an app window when it's full screen?

put mouse at top and click on the 3 dots. Or I assume if on touch, swipe down from top to get title bar? or maybe up from bottom.

found another issue, modern apps in full screen. hot corner for start screen doesn't work.

Still had to install classic start, didn't like the new start menu much at all. So far though, charms has gone !! That annoying window that would pop up in the corner has gone, it's fast and classic start makes it just how I want it. Looking promising so far.

Does anybody know if / when this will deactivate? Can it be upgraded to full version later on?

I don't see why it's so bugged, as this should have just been 8.1 update 2 surely :p? I mean, it's very evident that's what was happening with the updates. Instead MS just look to have hamfisted an OS together.
