Thats not true, we saw Windows 7 so early in its development it was called Windows Vista

That's called continuum, it's not in the technical preview yet.
Ahh must have missed that bit, there an eta for it?
So it seems this is what Win 8 was meant to be. Could be the time to jump from 7
One thing tho, has it got the transparent window borders?
On top of that what ever they've done under the hood, will do under the hood and features that will be put in there.
People seem to forget this is a technical preview. It's earlier in development, than we've ever seen before.

This is untrue. I have used both very early builds of Windows 7 and Windows 8. Builds much earlier in development than this Windows 10 technical preview.
If transparent window borders are a make-or-break deal for your choice of computer operating system, you're doing it wrong.
What, builds that MS officially published? Or ones that merely leaked? Because I can remember Vista builds flying all over the internet when it was still called Longhorn (i.e early enough in the development cycle to be 'XP in a party frock'), but they sure as hell weren't offered to the public by Microsoft.
Na, I was just wondering.
Can you completely remove the live tiles from the start menu to just leave a plain "old style" menu?
I’ve never really got on with Windows 8. It’s not that I don’t like change: on the contrary, I love playing with new gadgets and trying out new features. Unfortunately the changes in Windows 8 made my desktop computing experience worse overall, not better. Frankly I’m not sure the OS worked particularly well on tablets either.
So when the Windows 10 Technical Preview appeared on Wednesday I was eager indeed to take it for a spin – and the experience has been a very pleasant surprise.

Anyone know if you'll be able to upgrade from Windows 10 preview to the full release once it's out?
