MS has released a tool for Windows insider builds to show/hide updates.

Why take the option out in the first place, ridiculous.

You can now opt out of the insider program from this build, Settings -> Update & Security -> Advanced options -> Stop Insider Builds -> Confirm.

Installing TH1 Pro 10240 now... I feel I should have skipped this build and waiting the couple of weeks for the final version as its been bulletproof so far for me and ive got 20TB of stuff backed up onto my test machine.

I also want to do a fresh install when the final version does arrive, bought a 100gb SSD to replace my current slow 2tb 2.5" 5400rpm boot drive.

My 10162 PC is updating this morning, didn't do it last though. My other 10166 PC's started updating last night.

edit: Apparently it's a Nvidia driver bug and they are aware of it.

TH1 mean Threshold RTM branch
TH2 mean Redstone branch

I downloaded an ISO of 10240 and it installed fine and is running ok but fails to activate. I have tried my original key and a few from the web but it still fails to activate ?

I have upgraded from 8.1 to 10162 and then to 10240. 10162 was activated as normal ?

Any ideas anyone ?

How do you transfer a users settings etc to a Win 10 PC. I can't see a Windows Easy Transfer any more.

I'm thinking more of Outlook pst files, chrome bookmarks, local documents etc, not sure that all happens via the MS account, my wifes Win 7 easy transfer file is 50 odd GB!

Clean installs/ISO installs no longer activate. Only upgrades through Windows Update will work from now until release.

That's annoying as need to install to a new ssd, guess just do windows 8 first then upgrade?
