Not sure I like those icons, they look great there, but once you add other programs which won't be that style, it'll look a mess.

New browser I hope is good, but please have a seprate favourite bars and tabs bar option.

Although pinch of slat, as it goes against other leaks and I can't see MS going that plain, probably a fan mock up.

Wish 21st would come on by, especially as it's confirmed they'll be talking about windows 10 for phone as well.

It's not a mock up, Windows 10 build 9901 already has that taskbar including simple white outline icons for some things.

It just looks like an evolution of that, really glad they are going classier with Windows 10, 8 is a mess.

But Kevin Tuner did say they would talk about new ways to monetize Windows so there may be some info on pricing.

I hope they say something it's one of the main things people want to know, oh well will keep my fingers crossed that they mention something about it.

I’m waiting before getting a new machine till this is out. Coming from a XP 2004 Build so it’s a big jump. Waited this long before getting back into PC games etc so another ten or eleven months is no big deal. Thankfully it will me I did not go near Win 8 at all. XP has done me proud but I expect a big improvement in thirteen years. I'm Old school even proud to say I've bought my first steam game on sale over Xmas ready for the new rig plus a nice copy of Elite D in thier store after backing it on KS.

Stuck it on my desktop on a new SSD and was a complete disaster, Ethernet kept disconnecting a few minutes after booting and couldn't resolve it and stability issues, had to fall back to Win7 again. I will try again in a few months when more stuff is resolved, like the look of the thing however

Oh dear, that sounds bad. I had a few connectivity problems with browsers but networking was fine. I take it you had the latest drivers for networks?

I'm back with Win 7 too, at the moment, as 10 has a problem with the print spooler. After printing, and a bit of a pause, it was either crashing or shutting down so no printers were available,

The thingy on 21th should, I suspect, be an announcement of a new build as a consumer preview and if so I'll put that on. After a while of Win 10, windows 7 looks rather old and dated.

Really looking forward to the 21st, I think Windows 10 is looking really good. Its a Windows 7 Killer in my eyes. Its what Windows 8 should have been to start with.

DirectX 12 is looking pretty good for gaming too.

Let us hope Microsoft get it right this time - but looking good. Bear in mind there is no such thing as a perfect os.

Well while I was running it it seemed quite an improvement. The apps are now useful in that they run in windows and work like the usual windows applications. There's not enough but if Windows 10 gets Windows 7 people to upgrade I'd think that would change.

Once a consumer preview comes out I be running it.

I certainly will be upgrading from 7 to 10. While I love 7 it is starting to show its age and for me personally feels old now.

So it's only recently I bought Windows 8 (2 years). Wonder if they will be doing the pre-purchase again, so we can get it cheaply?

I bought Windows 8 when it came out at the £25 price and used it for a while. I really only gave it up because of problems running the steam games I have. Rumours are that there will be a similar deal again - rather like upgrades to Apple's OS.

I hope so as I think 10 is rather good.

Got exactly the same deal, including the multimedia pack for free. Would definitely like to find another deal this time around, as I am NOT paying hundreds for another OS unless I absolutely have to.
