Does it just upgrade/install over 9926??

How did you get it?? if I search for updates all I get is a Defender definition update?!

So it looks exactly the same as the prior version but with Fisher Price icons. Awesome.

Looks like disabling the xaml start menu might be in order again. I really hope that there is an option to remove all the Modern UI apps or do an install where they aren't even installed in the first place as the majority of them are useless and unsuitable in a corporate environment.

Got a DV8P too, does it need any drivers, anything not working?

Works ok but seems to keep coming out of tablet mode when I reboot, just going to stick 8.1 back on for now tbh until they sort continuity or whatever its called.
Grab the drivers from the Dell site, extract them and then just point device manager to the folder where they all are, it'll pick up what it needs.

I think someone at MS is having a laugh, probably had enough of people moaning bout the recycle bin icon so someone knocked an icon pack up over lunch.

7 taskbar tweaker release alpha versions that works with the latest win 10 build, just have to donate to get access. Makes it 100 times better when the taskbar previews are disabled in my opinion. It improves my workflow when i am not always getting annoyed with the taskbar previews. This is the settings i use, but the non alpha release do not work on windows 10.

I used classic shell on windows 10 and that was free, gave me back the classic menu I liked and control panel plus the options to disable the annoying charms etc.

I am back on windows 7 now as was having OS issues and to rule out it being windows 10 I have installed 7 to monitor

On windows 10 9926 there is a registry key that brings back the old start menu. Its somewhere in this thread. I forgot it now though. Plus it disables the charm bar and all other new annoying features.

Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Explorer > Advanced

Using regedit.

Enter a new 32bit DWORD value called EnableXamlStartMenu and make sure it is set as 0

Restart Explorer

Two new things revealed today.
Microsoft hello and Microsoft passport,
Looks good, they've tried finger print readers and stuff before but it's never really taken off.

Do we know yet if Xbox One streaming to W10 device is likely to make an appearance in a build before launch, or will it be a launch/post-launch feature only?

Actually got to use Windows 10 last night, while doing some late night work. Didn't find it that bad looking forward to the release of it tbh.

Does anyone know when build 10036 is due, also are they ever going to fix the non working server connector software so I can test connecting to server 2012 in a home/small office environment.
Also if anyone needs any information we have been testing windows 10 build on our domain ready to start a staged upgrade next year. The biggest issue we have come across is when you add to the domain we seem to loose the start menu and notification centre. This may be to using re-directed start menus.
