Ah! good call on the wuauclt.exe /updatenow!. 63% downloading now.

Was sat watching movies on Sky go for it to happen and nothing did at midnight haha.

If you are preloaded and want to instal now -

In the Preload folder in Sources directroy there is a file Install.esd copy this to a new folder.
Download esd decrypter - https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=e8e5cc039d51e3db&id=E8E5CC039D51E3DB!77869
install 7 zip to extract esd decrypter
Extract all the files and put it in the same folder as install.esd
Right click decrypt install as administrator
choose option 1
This will create the windows 10 iso, right click and mount it then run setup.

I did upgade and keep file and installed fine.

Thanks, worked for me. Shows "Preparing for installation".

*edit. Scrap that, it wanted to install a Synapse update. Win 10 upgrade failing.

Think I'm going to opt for a clean installation as it's the same as when I first installed Windows 7 on release and upgraded to Windows 8, then 8.1 think I'll start clean.

Starting to get "CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION" blue screen once ever two/three days and no longer will it automatically sleep.

99% of my libraries on my 3x WD 2TB and the SSD simply hosts the OS and programs so not bothered about setting it up again.

Hmm. Bit worried about the keep nothing option. I would assume it only relates to the install drive....

I would guess the servers are being hammered which is the reason for the failures.

well i have just done the upgrade and windows was activated.

i formatted my SSD, done a clean install of W10, skipped both sections asking for my product key as my windows 7 one didnt work when entered both times but as soon as i got in to windows it was activated

Disconnect the other drives if your worried?
