Wondered why I wasn't getting the update! First one does for me.

there are three situations where the update won't show in the dialog:
1.If you have upgraded to Windows 10 less than 31 days ago.
2.If you have selected to Defer updates in Windows 10 then you won't get this one.
3.If you have installed and then uninstalled the upgrade, then you won't get it again via Windows Update.

OK, so if you do fall into the first category, then what is the best way to get the latest update?

Use the MCT with a USB stick and then run setup.exe from the USB whilst being logged in as an admin user.

finally upgraded.

I like the fact they have added the option for coloured title bars but its linked to the start menu - boo!

I will just do the title bars only via the reg hack again.

Interesting to see that the latest Windows 10 update deletes / removes certain programs (CPUz & HWmonitor being two of them). CPUz it mentioned but not the other. Wonder if there's anything else it's got rid of. Not compatibility issues, as you can just re-install them. Long live Microsoft...

Upgraded Ok to Windows 10 Pro 1511/10586.3 using windows update.

Only one small problem to date. After the update and the first appearence of lock screen, the mouse was dead (Microsoft Intellimouse), cursor visible but no movement or click response.
Pressed escape key to get to the login screen and logged in.
After logging in there was no mouse cursor.
Rebooted using the keyboard and mouse is ok now.

Everthing seems ok initialy, but I'll investigate further.

Edit:
As I read elsewhere previously, after the upgrade some defaults are altered. Irfanview still handles gifs by default as previously set, but pdf handled by Edge by default now, rather than my previously set
acrobat reader. Probably other changes too, so you may want to check your program defaults after your upgrade.

I had 20gb of old windows files that appeared in disk cleanup, mental.

Fresh installed the new build, all going good

Yeah

Disk cleanup would have picked it up and deleted it anyway but definitely do

You can use Disk Cleanup if you think everthing is ok.

Personally I leave it for a while incase a rollback is needed.

IFAIK they're cleared automatically after 30 days anyway.
Depends if you need the disk space immediately I suppose.

My windows/old folders have never been cleaned up automatically...

I just leave it until I need the space.

Anyone having issues staying connected to Win10 VM's?

I get kicked off every few seconds, says that it disconnected because another user connected to the VM...

I find trying to open the odd program like handbrake, Mirillis Action and Holdem Manager 2 either takes multiple attempts, or it simply...doesn't.

Soo clicking on my start button isnt working now. (Never had this problem before the update at the weekend). Also it wiped my itunes library and having weird issues with skype and other apps just not responding. Feeling like going back to windows 7 before i lose my sanity.

I've had programs not responding today as well. Sometimes they eventually do, but usually not. I'm glad I've kept the Windows 7 files so I can roll back.

Yeh i dont get it, windows 10 has been running fine till the november update a couple of days ago and now everything seems to be going wrong.. Noticed from your sig you have an 850 evo i do too do you have samsung magic installed? Wondering if that could be causing it.

Scratch that looks like loads of people are having problems after the november update. Think i might reinstall the normal windows 10 and block the update for now.
