no VMC either. Still handy to have for "non commercial" activities

Might set up my own home server and grab me some media streaming and email facilities.

No. Just some features are missing probably like clustering and hot add CPU etc. Users are licenced as always by CALs

You can download both Standard or Enterprise demo versions from microsoft but i can't find a decent Comparison chart.

Just get standard it'll be fine if you are wanting to tweak it to run properly for a desktop enviroment.

Enterprise is overkill even for many SME's. Its for datacentres really where downtime of a server costs £££££££ per hour in business revenune.

You get to cluster and hot add CPUs Great

The ISO is for 3 versions anyway, DC, Ent and standard. Its just the key which releases the versions so like Vista there are probably simple reg hacks to turn on some of the ent features.

Why email her, I've not hear of anyone else having to email their college, it comes up with this for ALL of them!

I clicked on my uni (old uni), it redirected me to my college log in page, once logged in it redirected me back to dream spark. all in all, about 5 minutes work.

I asked about this in class yesterday. Apparently if you pop in the library they should be able to sort you out with an Athens login.

Is this a once use key? So if you use it for a virtual PC and then on different hardware i.e. not a 440bx motherboard, will it work?

Didn't see anything in the EULA about it. Just finished installing 2008 stardard x64 and the key you get does indeed activate
