Well, not sure about that. I remember my mum getting the phone call from school in 1987 that they were closing for the day because of the storm. I was ecstatic.

According the BBC it hit the east at 7am but reality is, it's way off. Couldn't shift an empty wheelie-bin on ice out there right now.

Hit the coast. Its moving East, there is no doubt the wind is strengthening here. Ive seen some strong gusts already this last 10 minutes.

People might be laughing now, but there's going to be some pretty bad damage in the SW.

Arwen had gusts of up to 90mph where we are and it wreaked havoc on the powerlines and there will be a lot of damage to roofs, garages, conservatories etc.
