Winter 2022/23 - It's too cold :(

interesting idea - it doesn't stick, or rip when you remove it ? pictures
I use a small/5l bowl of tepid water, poured over the side/front windows seconds before I start engine, couple of swipes of wipers, and drive off, dump bowl in well.

I'll go and put a sheet on my van screen now mate (mid morning/clear screen/no ice) and do another photo/video early tomorrow morning when I remove the foam sheet and all the other vehicles next to mine are frozen solid. It's quite literally magic. The foam can't freeze, doesn't stick, and doesn't rip/tear, even when a car door is slammed against it to secure it in place.

Looks set to become seriously cold by the weekend in London, max 2C or 1C during the day, can't wait. So nice to have a proper winter. Yes energy bills etc etc.

-1C this moirning and white over with frost.

I remember those days of scraping ice from car windows -Now I just turn front and rear screen heater on and all clear in frew minute -even wing mirrors -also heated seat - all I need now is heated steering wheel.

Not bad on a 13 yr old Focus.

Almost all modern cars have heated screens now but defrosting external snow/ice and demisting the interior and mirrors takes a lot longer than a few minutes using just the motor/engine. I've got a 2018 vehicle and it would probably take about 15 minutes from a cold start/cold engine.

I have no idea what this is referencing, but as I'm trying to aprender Español at the moment, I feel I should correct it. 'La Niña' surely? :p

Yeah, la Nina. :)

"El Nino can sometimes bring warmer winters to Europe and the UK, and La Nina will usually bring colder winters"
