-4C, feels like -8C. Bbrrrrr!
Youd be surprised how many people complain if they don't, especially older folk. There's no need to heat the waiting area. How much money are the NHS wasting in heating? That needs to be discussed in another thread,
This weather is not unusual for December.Feels like this will be the toughest winter for a while, I am pretty sure we dont usually see these kind of temps until late Dec or January onwards. Days dont start getting longer for another 2 weeks and only then very slowly, not full rate until February so probably now 2 months minimum of this biting weather.
I think it was odds on it was going to happen with heating costs going through the roof...Feels like this will be the toughest winter for a while, I am pretty sure we dont usually see these kind of temps until late Dec or January onwards. Days dont start getting longer for another 2 weeks and only then very slowly, not full rate until February so probably now 2 months minimum of this biting weather.
This weather is not unusual for December.
Just googled for my city the average low is 2C for december and 8C high. This weather is not unusual for December.
Got sleet here on the Mersey
To be fair I think it was about 5-6C below averages in the east of the country, was a sudden cold spell end of April. It's quite funny, it's like when in April people start sitting outside having drinks, then at about 8pm they start talking about going in because it's getting too cold. Then the conversation ensues, "it's not normally this cold in April, is it?"
Every. Damn. Year.
It’s very unusual for this weather in December to be so long lasting. That can’t be argued as its what the official records show. This weather is not unusual for December.
Averages. Yes, so sometimes it is colder, sometimes it is warmer. A period of several days freezing weather in December is hardly anything new or unusual.Just googled for my city the average low is 2C for december and 8C high.
Accuweather currently has it at 3C high and -2 low, so I wasnt imagining it, but maybe in your part of the country its not normally warmer.
