Minus 4C and dropping quickly at 5.30PM, going to be a cold one tonight.

Need a week of 10C to take the cold out of the walls.

Tonight is the 14th night of frost this month for us.

Yeah impact on buildings wont be so dramatic it needs days to feed through and the increased temps are going to be temporary.

Will hopefully take the strain off the heating. A few bit of time/money is barely making a dent at the moment and I wouldn’t say our house is too poorly insulated either.

Their stating on the Bbc that the first half of December has been the coldest for a 100 years.

Were in a 200 year old cottage, the stone walls are 37inches thick on the ground floors, going to be a right pain
to get them back up to temp for sure.

Wood burner been on nearly 24/7 the last 10 days.

The Summer 40C temps are a very distant memory!

That MET guy said it was not unusual.:cry::cry:

Personally think the forecasts will trend a little more towards colder, possibly some snow in the north, around Christmas - some of the milder runs I think will drop out as we get nearer and past the milder bit coming up.
Yes it's hopefully edging towards more cold after a brief warm up, pretty cold one tonight though already at -7c
