Winter 2022/23 - It's too cold :(

Jet disruption, pushing it away from the UK, looks to resume towards the end of the month, if the colder setup is still around we'll likely see colder conditions into Feb, but in the meantime likely wet and mild conditions.

Potential for SSW event(s) but the setup looks like previous years where the US/Canada and parts of Asia get the cold from it.

Two days of dry weather there was even sunshine yesterday(!) today its back to rain, rain and more rain again. Theres flooding and a road was closed with barriers a sign saying "road closed" and what happens, seven idiots move the barriers aside drive through anyway get stuck and have to be rescued, I hope they were charged for the privilege

So is there any prospect of any more cold weather coming?

We had a spell of snow in december the previous winter and then consistently warmer than average after that I don't expect this to be any different. Could hit 15c tomorrow. Its too warm heating is barely on at the moment europe is having record warmth up to 19c in places, in the Alps skiiing is disrupted its all turning to slush...

Similar around here - https://www.somersetlive.co.uk/news/somerset-news/gallery/car-stranded-flood-water-mucheley-7988638 there is another car floating in the middle of a field closer to where I live as well after people went around barriers.

Jan 22nd check back closer to that date if its possible or not. UK is mostly lucky we only get the worst when the polar vortex or jet stream becomes weak apparently, this means we stop getting the warm or relatively warmish wind from across the Atlantic and in worst prospect from north or east. Right now im in lucky to see 12+ but also its raining non stop, the clouds stop it getting too cold over night I guess
