Winter 2024/25 - Cold or Mild? Rain or Snow?

Definitely more like November tonight, brisk, car starting to ice up though don't think temperatures got below 1C so far and plenty of fog driving home.

Some parts of the Midlands and high ground to the north in general looks like it could get a fair bit, possibly even 2-3 days where it holds up.
We're Midlands, east coast.
I'll take proper snow. Don't go to work snow.
It's when we get a bit and the idiots who don't recalibrate come out.

Hanging on to the mild weather , garden still full of colours, coastal walk as usual

Around this time last year was damn blustery. I particularly notice because back then something was flapping around and making noise in the loft when it blew from the south east, but that kept only happening when I was busy WFH, so I wasn't able to get up there to find the culprit as it was happening.

This year all is silent. Calm before the storm?

It's already turned to frost here. Was a couple of sleety showers this afternoon, but only for a few minutes. Looks like we're getting snow showers Tuesday to Thursday and then presistently cold over next weekend and then a spot more snow.

Just stuck windscreen cover on Car and the Wife's. She's up at 0500 for work. And I'm on 4 nights this week. Already dropped to 1c. Various weather apps threatening 7 to 15 cm of Snow from 2000 tonight.
