It snowed in Blackpool this afternoon - just for a few mins on the leading edge of the cold front that has swept down the UK today but it was definitely snow.

Thats the primary reason why 15 years ago we decided to spend every December/Christmas/New Year in Canada, we simply got fed up of throwing back the curtains on Christmas morning and it basically looking like a rainy October day outside. We decided right then, from now on, every year will be Canada so that we can have a Christmas that actually looks like the Christmasses that tv adverts and movies are always thrusting at us

Would love to do this but bet it's a few bob. We went to Lapland a few Christmases ago. The first time going on a "cold" holiday and I loved every minute of it. Broke the bank a bit though.

Those were the winters we used to get, just a distant memory now.

Yeah its a several thousand in total each December but its worth it. Not missed a year for 15 years now (except the Covid years when travel wasnt possible, and that was hell, being consigned to a UK Christmas , gah ! )

Supposedly a crazy 17/18C out there in Hampshire, trying to coax myself out for my first outdoor ride in weeks.

It hit 22c in south west london Wednesday, walked the dog in the afternoon and we both where roasting by the time we got back
