Another great episode in a fantastic series. A couple of minor things I didn't like though, like how people (including a not insignificant number of hill tribe warriors) were just able to wander into both the Stark and Lannister camps. Also the scene with the Lannister spy - I don't recall that happening in the book so wonder what the significance of it was. I don't think there would be any dishonour is executing a spy, so I don't really see why Robb let him go - unless it was to get that message to Tywin in an attempt to get under his skin.

Hodor though - lol. Wonder if it was a prosthetic enhancement.

whats this rule everybody keeps banging on about ?

The Episode that is aired on the Monday on the UK is shown the day before in the US (on the sunday).

Given that people are discussing it at 11am the morning after most will just be reading websites which discuss the night before's TV, rather than having downloaded the show illegally as good quality rips of the TV episode take a day or two to appear.

So discussing TV website is banned or something ?

Discussing TV website not banned, no. I wouldn't even call it a rule as such, it's just common courtesy to not post spoilers in here until the show has aired here.

I'm sure people can wait 24 hours to post (and that was if they were actually watching it as it aired in the US)

If anything happens to the Starks I'll be LIVID ;)

I WAS LIVID. :D

To be fair, the best Stark's are still about, and the son who is commanding the army's now looks to be a new, interesting character. I do hope Syrio is still alive, as he is a good character. I have a feeling the Knight who was 'dismissed' and supposedly replaced by Jamie (although we didn't see him) will join the Starks. Well, I hope he does, as he looks like a very good swordsmen.

I actually assumed that he let the spy go to provide false information.
I was just surprised he didn't explain this to the chap beside him.
He told his mother they had 18000 men, and when the spy was counting, he had made it to 20000, therefore he had not got to the end, he had just counted wrong.
So he will go back to Tywin and state greater than 20k my lord, thus overestimating Rob's forces.
Tywin has 30k and Jamie has the other 30K, so in single battle they'll be swamped, but Jamie is currently putting siege to the riverlords, thus occupied.

The people wandering in to the camps are with Tyrion and Catelyn, everyone in each camp would know who those two are, and aren't likely to ask too many questions about them.

In the book Tyrion's party was intercepted by a Lannister patrol and escorted back to camp. Cat didn't wander into camp in the book she went to Winterfell first IIRC. Only a minor thing but it does detract from authenticity.

Makes more sence to be encountered by a patrol, as they wandered downa hill into camp, and not one guard was seen or one challenge made.

If only Rob was there with his 18000, he could have caught them properly napping.

If not the actual spy then I am sure something similar happens in the books, you can tell that Robb wants Tywin to believe that

A) He is heading for his army.
B) He has more men than he actually has.

Misinformation in war is always a useful thing.

Also who is it Syrio goes toe to toe with? Can't recall without going back through the books.
Off the top of my head, and I definitely haven't just looked in the copy of the book I have in my bag, I believe it was Ser Meryn Trent.

Looking forward to the last two episodes but I will be disappointed if there is no decent ending. I know that the bigger story will be dragged out over the next 6 books but I hope the last episode doesn't end with a "to be concluded" type end.

On a slightly different note, it would be fantastic if Khal Drogo put Jamie Lannister through a painful death :D

I have an inkling how it will end, can imagine the epicness of it now if it ends the way I hope/expect it too! :D

The actress who plays the Queen is absolutely filthy and I want her! :)

You do know its the Spartan queen from 300, right?

She always looks like she's either about to cry, or curling one out. She's far from the best in the series.

Oh btw, did anyone else recognise the guy playing Great John? :D

Clive mantle, damn fine actor, huge fellow.. Previous roles include Little John (Robin of Sherwood), Surgeon Mike Barret (Casualty) and Nuclear Man (Superman IV - though this was cut and only appears only as an 'additional scene' on the special edition)

Happened to see him as Lenny in "Of Mice And Men.." a number of years ago, and he could literally throw Nicola Stapleton around the stage like a ragdoll.

haha :D

I thoguht I was the only one who thought that, she looks mildly constipated half the time!

Yip, thoguh the best one I noticed and I cannot believe it took me until this week to realise is that Bronn is played by Jerome from Robson and Jerome :p

I think she's meant to look like that - she's playing the character quite well I thought.

As we all like the swords and fantasy type stuff, everyone remember that Camelot starts on Sunday too. Should take over quite nicely from game of thrones when it ends in a couple of weeks.
