Winter Is Here - A Dance With Dragons

So is Dany Azor Ahai reborn?

Before ADwD this was pretty much certain but if you read the final few pages in Jon's last chapter very closely you will see he meets the criteria save for the waking dragons out of stone which might happen when
he wakes up/is resurrected and finds out who his dad (probably) is.

Thought it would be Jon Snow? At least aluded to, he may or may not be a male targarean heir to a female stark, rather than ned's son.
The deepest secret in the land.

The Howland Reed chap I am looking forward to seeing. As was just mentioned the fight against the greatest knight in the land, the intervention of Howland Reed, saving Ned and winning the fight. I wonder was it a straight stand up fight, or were there venoms involved.
When deepwater moat was taken by the men of pyke, the crannogmen were seen to pop up and use dirt and poisons etc, the red viper fought with such weapons, I wonder if Howland used magics learned fromm his trip to the green isles, or nature in his weaponry.

I really hope the next book 'introduces' Howland Reed, I'd like to discover more about the Crannogmen and what actually happened at the Tower of Joy.
It's most probably plant or frog poisons they use against the Ironmen.
Also I think Reed is currently looking after Eddard's bones and that Jon is the offspring of Prince Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark

How epic would a 3hr movie be of the rebellion of Robert?

3 hour movie? Try 10 hour TV series. I've already starting casting this in my head :p It must happen.

One thing that annoys me; when am I going to be able to buy the Tales of Dunc and Egg in the UK?

Off topic but I wonder how they will handle Dany's visit to the House of the Undying in the tv show. Will they show all her visions? That was my favourite part in Clash of Kings so i hope they don't leave it out.

On the three headed dragon, it could be that Dany, Jon and
Aegon (if real)
are all Azor Ahai in that all three together are needed to beat the Whitewalkers.

I that feels too obvious to me, I dunno

The real Lightbringer still needs to appear as yet

My favourite theory on the "three heads has the dragon" is that Jon is the dragon and the heads refer to kingship, namely as King of the Iron Throne as he is by birth, King in the North by Robb's will and King of the Wildings which he effectively became in the last book with them all swearing vows to him.

Also, I doubt Lightbringer is an actual burning sword. It is probably the Nights watch if Jon or the dragons if Dany.

Had a thought, the old bear, cmmdr of the watch prior to Jon, he gave him his valyrian blade, treated him as a son, swore himself to the watch.
Bear island is allied to the starks and the north? Would the old bear have been with Eddard when fighting Roberts rebellion?
Could he have known Jon's true origin? As there doesn't seem to be a soul in the whole of Westeros who does.
Maester Aemon, when he met Jon, he felt his face didn't he? The blind man, would he have recognised Targaryn lines as well as Stark features?

Was the watch primed years in advance for the coming winter with loyal men placed in positions of power to receive the man who as needed to fight the ice?

Howland Reed knows Jon's origins.
Yes, as their bannermen, Jeor Mormont and others from Bear Island fought alongside the Starks during Robert's Rebellion. He joined the Watch so that Jorah could become Lord of Bear Island.

The Night's Watch was established to protect the realm from the Others, though they've kinda forgotten because they've only been fighting wildlings for nearly 1000 years.

Yes I know, but Raegar knew better, and surely duck and egg also knew this.

The reasons given for the father leaving and why the faher actually left may be very very different.
