Wolfenstein: The New Order

I still think that running and gunning on the stealth sections is utter suicide, thanks to the constant reinforcements.

Which is odd, given they promote the choice in the video.

Is anyone else finding load times a little bit long? Maybe up to 10 seconds after getting killed.

I noticed a bit of an oddity with that - normally my load times are really quck but sometimes after dying, usually when killed by a higher level enemy, it will sit on the load screen for ages not appearing to do anything before suddenly springing into life.

Have I posted how good this looks in ultra widescreen?

:D

I've just finished this now, really fun game and well worth the purchase.I Will have to start up another run through and try the different time line :D

I've been playing 8 hours now, think I'm nearing the end though it feels like a ways to go. Just getting to that white uniform bloke who holds the code. I wonder if I will get to go to the moon because so far I've gone swimming, deep sea diving, driven a mini manned sub which was rather excellent and the B man made a jab about going to the moon earlier :o

Also, what a random time to score with Anya... Given everything else going on hah!

That looks alright I guess... :( I want one! :D

Yiu know what to do!

So Sexy!

Lol knew what that would be when I saw the spoiler tag :p

What stand and monitor is that, what is it like gaming in that aspect ratio?

LG 34UM95 on an Ergotron MX arm. 21:9 aspect ratio is excellent for gaming. So much extra can be seen thanks to the wider resolution combined with respective FOV. Makes games feel really cinematic.

best game i have played in ages..... reminds me of playing Half Life for the first time

must be near the end soon. great value game for the hours, worth every penny.

totally agree with you , just can't understand why it did not get better review scores , yet a turd like watch dogs is getting completely over scored by most outlets , the power of money I guess.

Ubisoft's purse is the answer indeed :p
. Shame because we definitely won't be seeing more games like this in a long time. At least it's reaffirmed my liking for Bethesda.

Not sure where I've been hiding but the release of this completely missed my radar - is it worth the purchase?

I've loved this franchise since it was on the SNES.

I'm more of a quick online match gamer these days (L4D/CSS) but what is this like for online play?

:D :D What online play? :D :D

It's a pick up and go single player shooter and has the original Escape from castle Wolfenstein thrown in as an Easter Egg.

Very much worth a purchase. You can be stealthy or run and gun but the action is as varied as you want it to be I guess and it keeps things fun with lashings of gore.

how do we?

Re DX9

Well, I run XP64 when I can for many reasons and my pre order was available so I just downloaded and run it without a second thought after all it's OpenGL at least XP64 does not need 1.5GB Ram just sitting still ;) and good old Nvidia still updates XP drivers.

this game hasn't arrived from Amazon yet:mad:

i'd be very careful if you buy from there, i cant find the seller or contact Amazon, it's all Automated nobody to talk to

Absolutely loving this game, the shotgun with the flak upgrade is just so satisfying to use. And the LKZ with what must be most of the upgrades is a proper beast of a gun, I love the multi-targeting scope!

Some of the perks seem a bit hard to get, yet to get the one that has killing 3 enemies with continuous dual rifle fire, but I think my mouse is on the blink a bit.

Currently on the Gibraltar Bridge, absolutely loving all the details in this game. Spent ages reading all of the newspaper cuttings in the resistance base.

I keep missing secrets though, mostly because I think, "Oh, I've not found a way into that bit yet, it'll probably be up ahead.", and before you know it the level is finished or made so you can't go back :o
