Wolfenstein: The New Order

I got the DVD version on saturday, part installed as far as Steam registering the key but now I see there will be a giant patch which will clobber my b/band download limit & I suppose the game won't run without it

Loved Return to Castle Wolfenstein sp, must have finished it 10+ times. Im not sure on whether to buy this.
Thinking back when RTCW, that was the period when we had great sp fps like Medal Of Honour Allied Assault and Call Of Duty 1. I just want to play a fps sp game that can capture whatever had me repeatedly play them again and again.

Edit: sod it bought it for £24.50, that's much better than steam prices.

never buy a game until the reviews come out....EVER, just remember Duke Nukem............but my guess is it'll be ok.

It says the difficulty was 'Normal'. So it's safe to say you could set your difficulty much harder and then the AI would no doubt be smarter.

You're going to be disappointed if you actually believe that.

No FPS developer creates a different AI for each difficulty level.

Funny you should say that. Reason being it's a load of nonsense. I've played numerous FPS games where the AI reacts differently depending on the difficulty setting. For starters, take the Call of Duty Series. I've played most of them from day one and one thing I always notice is that when you up the difficulty, the AI characters all become a lot more accurate with their shooting. In other words, the AI is acting differently.

Max Payne 3 is another fine example. I played through that game 3 times. On the hardest setting, the AI took more cover and were able to hit you more accurately. Again, AI changing with difficulty.

Preloaded on STEAM, roll on tomorrow. I don't seem to have my TF2 items though?

Edit*

Yesss!

Gameplay and graphics do look better in recent vids, can tell a mile away its on the same engine as rage, they havn't done much to differentiate the graphics style from rage, textures and models have a similar look to them. Sort of plasticky looking to an extent.
