This EDL list of policies, I've actually read it before, because I wanted to know what their policies were before judging them. I think it was when the leader, Tommy whatshisface did that CH4 show.

I feel that he plays down how he feels. But I could well be wrong, and perhaps after a conversation with him I'd change my view.

Those policies aren't awful, so why do the EDL portray such a racist and thuggish image?

Well I don't think it was a wise idea for the EDL to go after them the other day and threaten them and throw Nazi salutes and racist comments at them, happened only the other day when Anon were partaking in a peaceful protest against austerity !!

The first night I saw them hanging out that pub several days ago on the news, then saw the ski masks summed it all up for me. I saw it as looking to cause trouble for the sheer sake of it. Then that other day when it was sunny, I can't seem to find the clips but it was on Sky News. Goading the police over the barriers. It was one step from a riot the way they were going on.

I honestly didn't know about them until this big incident. Plus the fact I have no clue about these groups nor have any intention of finding out anything about them.

Best part about it is, the EDL originated in Luton, and has strong followings from that area and Portsmouth. The looky-downy-nosey crew are certainly entertaining. Ignorant and ironic.

I was joking Last night I can't believe after twelve thousand posts people still takes the crap I write seriously. Needs more sarcasm Smileys .

I will say that like most normal people I have very very little time for extremism from the edl or a few crazy religious people. I am tired of idiots on both sides trying to force feed me their blinkered ideals. I do find it hilarious though, that's why I love this thread.
