The Russian promotion vid was a bit creepy especially when it kept chanting "russia never sleeps." Sounded like a threat.

What makes you believe they haven't? FIFA is one of the most corruption organisations in the world so I am sure their has been plenty of bribes been passed around!

Would be great for England get it- I could pop over and see a few games- assuming the IMF will leave me!

Ok, fair point, you were claiming that they shouldn't have rather than they couldn't have. However everyone has their own interests to look after, and unless legislation prevents them, you can hardly blame the Panorama programme for taking a decision that is consistent with their mission.
