World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

Have to say using this in a pitch black room is really nice. Looking at my Gmail tab for example the illumination of "white" just feels natural. Whether it is because the QD-OLED emits less harmful blue light vs the VA and IPS panels I've been used to I don't know, or whether it is just the fact that there's no backlight and it's OLED. Just using this in pitch darkness to browse/work feels very eye friendly and non-fatiguing.

For anyone that owns this monitor and an LG oled is there a difference in g-sync performance (higher refresh rate aside) as this monitor contains an actual module as opposed to just being g-sync compatible?

I seriously want to somehow re-arrange things and get a desk somewhere for this monitor.

Worth keeping an eye on, will the no issues still remain true a year/2 years down the line? I guess you could say that's what the 3years warranty is for, but keep in mind that there's obviously a timer built into the monitor that clocks each 4hr pixel refresh and 1500 hour panel refresh, so I'd imagine they also have a counter as to how many manual refreshes have been done too and /could/ turn around and decline a warranty service because a user has manually run a panel refresh more than advised in future maybe?

That would be my concern.

If nothing advertises it at moment and you brought and read all the literature and then has issue in a year as long as you had a copy of the information provided where it doesn't show that information then they wouldn't really have a choice as you did as per your information. The only way they can cover that is if thet email you with the update but if you've already been doing it daily say until that point they still wouldn't be able to refuse tbh. It would be hassle no doubt but they would have to honour in end as fault from their side.

Still no movement despite supposedly being shipped today and cancel button isn't greyed out still.... I say expect the delay emails within the next 24-48 hours, I reckon it will be May at the earliest now.

Yeah I can see that, but hopeful for late this month :)

It should be a later build though with some of the issues ironed out so I don't really mind so much.
I doubt it personally. Right now it is probably on a boat somewhere (hopefully not sitting in a puddle) making its way here slowly. Good news is once you see it is in production, expect delivery in 24/48 hours :)

To be honest I don't really think CS will actually know that much about the status of deliveries/shipments outside of what we see as well, and any general info/advisories about a product - like the parts delay every CS loved to talk about if you contacted them asking about the monitor.

Not looking good, just spoke to Dell again on chat:

"The order is expected to ship today Nat, however as there is a supply shortage the order may not ship today." :(

Good bot that...
