Creator mode, sRGB, gamma 2.4, 52% brightness and 75% contrast, same as Vincent/HDTV test and what I had before.
Same as mine. But brightness is 63%.

I haven't gamed at 175Hz yet, will fire up Cyberpunk in a bit, I tried Photoshop though and could not see any flicker at 175Hz like I was seeing before.
There's probably minor variance between screens too. Over 3 screens, I found about 40 nit difference for peak brightness. 1 was 980, 1000 and 1020. Not had one that maxed at the original 1060 EDID.By the way I re-did the Windows HDR Calibration tool as a test found that the contrast set to 75 the squares during the HDR calibration either undershoot or overshoot 1070 nits which is the peak maximum. At 74 (adjusting in realtime) I can see that the balance is much clearer and aligns with 1070 nits for both luminance screens. So it seems 74 contrast is the most accurate for HDR calibration, which naturally means it's going to be the best for SDR too so have now left it on 74. At 68 I found the first HDR luminance screen was balanced at 930 nits which is undershooting the expected 1070 nits.
Oh yeah I'm in Peak 1000 btw in the OSD.
Much diff in the DWF panel? Can I use these settings too
I'll stick with 75
Yeah it never really bothered me before as it was only in very unique conditons i.e. near black, dark grey scenes and low fps but when it did happen, it was quite obvious/immersion breaking so glad it is fixed now.Holy S... they must have implemented gamma on the fly. Indeed flicker is gone! This is now by far the best monitor on the market and a huge selling point over dwf.
That was the most involved monitor update yet. Had to pull out my desktop to be able to unplug my TV's HDMI out just so it would go. Not to mention changing settings in windows lol.
Hopefully its worth it.
Edit: I just tried a game where the g-sync flicker was a big issue, oblivion when crossing the open world at night, and sadly it's still there. So I don't think the firmware update has managed to work miracles. I guess it might have gotten rid of the less egregious examples of it?
Nvidia 3080.AMD or nvidia gpu?
Also, anyone with an amd gpu been able to update their DW? As it does say in the instructions, you need to have a nvidia gpu to be able to update.
Hmm ok, was thinking if using amd gpu, you won't be able to make use of the gsync module properly perhaps but obviously not that so maybe it doesnt help in the extreme bad cases? Is gsync defo acitve with oblivion i.e. oblivion one of these games which isn't actually fullscreen? If so, make sure to have gsync activated for borderless mode too.Nvidia 3080.
As far as I'm aware you can't update if you haven't got a Nvidia GPU.
